About Guest Teacher Workshops & Immersions
In our daily flow, we build the foundation, but these immersions are where you crack open new possibilities. We bring in masters, like Acharya Bharath Shetty or Chandraprakash Naidu, specifically to help you navigate the tricky inversions or dense philosophy that you cannot fully unpack in a standard hour-long class.
Think of these workshops as a dedicated time to pause your life and focus entirely on the 'how' and 'why' of your practice. We don’t run a teacher factory here; we run a shala where you are expected to show up, do the work, and get messy.
We structure these sessions to give you the time necessary to actually absorb a topic. When we host a Bhagavad Gita study, we have the space to dissect the text, talk about how it applies to your stress at work, and sit with the discomfort of growth. When we bring in teachers for Thai Massage or arm balance drills, we have the floor space to break down the biomechanics, adjust your alignment, and drill the movement until your body understands it on a cellular level.
These immersions are not just about collecting certificates. They are about 'Svadhyaya'—self-study. You will likely feel a mix of frustration and breakthrough, and that is exactly the point. Whether you are a teacher looking to refine your cueing or a practitioner ready to explore the deeper dimensions of Hatha and Vinyasa, these workshops offer the environment to get there.
Svādhyāya by Devyani
I wanted Svādhyāya to be a place where we never stop learning, which is why I curate these guest immersions. It is a space for us to be students together, bringing in fresh perspectives to help you go deeper into your own body and mind.
