Finding a quiet moment in Delhi can be tough. In our sessions, we focus on the art of letting go, using guided pranayama and final Savasana to help you reset your nervous system after a long day.

A moment of deep meditation, or "Dhyanavastha." As the sutra says, "Yogas-chitta-vritti-nirodhah," yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind. Hari Om Tat Sat.

About Meditation & Savasana: Calm Your Mind

Many people think meditation is just about closing your eyes, but it is really about the prep work. In my sessions, we do not jump straight into stillness. We use specific Pranayama techniques to steady the breath first. It is the difference between trying to force your mind to stop and letting it settle naturally. If you are coming to the studio in Paschim Vihar or Vikaspuri, wear comfortable clothes you can easily relax in, and be prepared to actually switch off your phone for that hour.

In the yogic tradition, we say 'Yogas-chitta-vritti-nirodhah'—yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind. That is exactly what we aim for during our closing sessions. After an hour of active asana practice, your body is warm and your blood flow is optimized, which creates the perfect environment to move into a deeper meditative state.

Why Savasana Matters

Savasana is often mistaken for just a nap at the end of class, but it is a deliberate pose of conscious relaxation. When guided properly, it allows your parasympathetic nervous system to take over, helping lower cortisol levels and reducing stress. My team and I guide you through this process so you do not drift into unconsciousness, but rather into a state of alert relaxation.

Our Approach to Meditation

We incorporate basic Pranayama techniques like Anulom Vilom and Kapalbhati throughout our classes. These breathing exercises are designed to clear the channels in your body, making it much easier to sit for meditation afterward. We keep the environment controlled—our studios in Paschim Vihar and Vikaspuri are air-conditioned and quiet, providing a dedicated space away from the noise of the city. Whether you are a beginner or looking to deepen your practice, these moments of stillness are essential for achieving that 'samatvam' or balance in your life.
