Architecture is not just about the final building. It is a conversation that begins with a sketch and ends with a finely crafted detail. Explore our journey from initial concepts to on-site reality.

I believe architecture is about building conversations. This process unfolds across drawings, through dialogue with our team and clients, and on the construction site. It all starts with a thought, translated by hand into a sketch.

On-site at 'Project 58W,' a 5,000 sq ft residence in South Bombay. Here, the principal architect reviews the floor plans against the raw structure, ensuring every detail aligns with the vision of framing the panoramic city views.

"Yeh distance jo hai na..." On-site, every millimeter matters. Here, we are marking out details on the architectural drawings, a crucial step where we translate the plan into a precise guide for the construction team.

We believe our craftsmen are the true makers. Their hands have shaped our projects for years, bringing a level of skill and understanding that drawings alone cannot capture. Here is a moment of appreciation for their invaluable contribution on site.

The final touches. A craftsman carefully hangs a piece of art in a newly completed corporate office. This step is crucial, as art is what makes a space feel truly human and complete.

It takes a village. The final moments of a project handover involve a coordinated effort from our entire team of architects, designers, and contractors to ensure every artwork is perfectly placed.

The final layer of design is often the art. A craftsman carefully positions a large painting in a corporate project, a piece that will become a focal point and conversation starter in the new space.

A behind-the-scenes look at the art installation process. Our principal architect oversees the placement of a series of photographs, ensuring the composition is balanced and impactful.

Brainstorming on site is a critical part of our process. Here, we discuss finishes and material details for a kitchen unit directly with the client and craftsmen, making decisions in the context of the actual space.

About Our Design Process

We don't believe in perfection from day one. Our process is intentionally messy, involving site visits where we mark out details directly on the floor and test pigment swatches in the changing light of a raw space. You won't find us hiding behind screens, as we prefer to be on-site, discussing every millimeter with our craftsmen to ensure the final space feels exactly like the conversation we started.

For us, architecture is about what is exchanged across drawings, teams, and the city. It starts with a thought, often translated by hand into a sketch before it ever touches software. We begin by listening to the site—the wind, the history, and the existing neighborhood context—before a single wall is moved.

The Hands-On Approach

We have a saying, 'Whatever we install, we install honestly.' This means we don't hide the process. You will often find our team in the middle of the dust, assessing finishes and material details directly with the client. Whether it is marking out floor plans on a raw concrete site or testing an array of pigments to find the right tone, we make decisions in the context of the actual space. We treat our site visits as a dialogue. If the site demands a change, we adapt.

Working with Makers

'Aur in maliko ki vajah se hum pichle saalon se hamare saath isi tarah ka badhiya kaam karte rehte hain.' We have worked with our core team of craftsmen for years. They are the ones who translate our vision into physical reality. A design drawing is just a map, but the hands of our craftsmen are what bring it to life. This is why our project handovers are a team effort, ensuring every piece of art is placed and every finish is executed with patience. We value this relationship over everything else, because without their skill, there is no story to tell.

I am Puran from Studio PKA. We treat every project as a conversation with the city, not a shout. My team and I build spaces that feel human, grounded, and deeply personal, keeping the process messy and honest from start to finish.
