Whether you are holding clay for the first time or looking to refine your technique, our studio is a space to learn, practice, and connect. Let's find your rhythm together.

Our courses are designed to guide you on your personal clay journey. From basic wheel throwing to advanced mentorship modules, we have a path that is suitable for you, whether you can join on weekdays or weekends.

Mastering the wheel starts with mastering the basics. This video shows the process of coning the clay up and down to center it, a crucial first step that requires a strong grip and a steady hand. Practice is everything!

Creating closed forms like a 'matka' requires a different approach. Here, I demonstrate how to shape the rim early on and then gently expand the form from the inside. The clay will wobble, but the key is to stay calm and contain it.

It's a joy to see students progress. This advanced student, who started during the pandemic, is now confidently throwing beautiful forms. Our one-on-one guided sessions are designed to help you refine your skills and walk this path together.

A typical day in the studio with our basic and advanced students. You can see some students wedging clay by hand while others are focused on the wheel, each person lost in their own creative moment.

The path to a perfect form involves a lot of trial and error. Sometimes, you have to break a piece down to understand what went wrong. This is a vital part of the learning process for every potter.

Sculpture begins with a strong foundation. Our courses introduce the fundamentals of structure in 3D, using both hand-building techniques and the potter's wheel to explore form.

About The Potter's Wheel Journey

When you first sit at the wheel, your clay will wobble, and that happens to everyone. The secret isn't fighting the clay with force, but learning to center your breath and body along with it. We focus on this process over perfection approach in our sessions, guiding you from that first chaotic lump to a form you can hold in your hands.
