About Handmade Ceramics Shop
My Journey with Clay
I’ve been shaping clay since 2004, and honestly, it’s never just about making things. It’s about getting lost in the process, letting the hands and mind wander. The studio is full of chatter, laughter, and sometimes a bit of chaos - every piece carries that vibe.
Everyday Ceramics
I make mugs, bowls, plates, and coasters that are meant for daily use. These aren’t just pretty - they’re sturdy, high-fired, and safe for the dishwasher and microwave. I call some bowls ‘multi-purpose lovelies’ because you can use them for chai, snacks, or whatever you feel like. Each item is unique, never exactly the same as another.
Art for Your Corners
If you’re looking for something more than tableware, I also create sculptural forms and home decor. Think statement vases, big coiled pots, custom planters, and sometimes even large installations. These pieces are about intuition and inspiration - they bring a different energy to your space.
How We Make It
Everything is handmade, either on the wheel or by coiling and carving. We use different clays, from terracotta to stoneware, and fire them in the kiln with our own glazes. Sometimes things turn out exactly as planned, sometimes it’s a happy accident. That’s the charm - no two pieces are ever identical.
Community & Studio Life
Studio Karva is a mix of my work, my apprentices, and even students from workshops. It’s a collective effort, and we all learn from each other. If you’re in Mumbai, drop by for an Open Studio day or book a visit. Bahot shukriya (thank you so much) for being part of our journey.

My Story
Hey, I’m Rashi. Clay’s been my thing since 2004 – it’s like a never-ending adventure. Learned loads from my mentors, Ray, Deborath, Hanumantapa, and my spiritual guru Satpurananda – gratitude always, especially on GuruPurnima. My family’s got their hands in clay too, and that makes me smile. Teaching at IDC, IIT Mumbai and V.E.S. has been wild. For me, it’s all about making, teaching, and growing with my clay community. Sab kuch connected hai (everything’s connected).
