Girls be like "I needed this" and it's literally just touching clay on a spinning wheel. But honestly, it does reset your soul. Come try it for yourself.

New activity alert! Imagine just you and the wheel, with wind chimes in the background as the clay takes shape. Experience the peacefulness of wheel pottery.

Your first time on the wheel is all about messy hands and a steady heart. It's a journey of learning to center the clay, and yourself.

A glimpse of our wheel workshop on the balcony. With messy hands and a clear mind, you can create something beautiful while enjoying the view.

Master the art of wheel pottery in our workshops. You can learn to make everything from bowls to plates with guidance from our master potter.

Our wheel workshop is going strong! Learn how to throw and trim your pieces with Master Potter Vinay. New slots are open now for this limited-time module.

This is how their first time on the wheel went. It's a process of learning and discovery, and at our studio, everyone's a potter.

People think pottery must be so relaxing, and it is, but learning the wheel also involves a lot of trial and error. It's a rewarding challenge!

Oops! Making a hole while trimming is a classic pottery fail. My sir always says, "Make 10 holes and you’ll learn the 11th time." It's all part of the process.

About Try the Potter's Wheel

The wheel is tricky, and it is honestly okay to make mistakes here. My master potter Vinay always says if you make ten holes, you will learn on the eleventh try. Come prepared to get messy, laugh at the process, and focus on the feeling rather than the final shape. It is a workout for your focus and a genuine reset for your soul.

Finding Your Rhythm on the Wheel

Learning to throw clay on the wheel is a journey. It is not just about the final ceramic piece, but the act of centering yourself as you center the clay. We keep our sessions intimate and relaxed, so you never feel the pressure to be perfect.

Workshop Options

  • One-Day Experience: Perfect if you just want to feel the clay spin. You will get 1.5 to 2 hours of focused machine time to try your hand at centering, opening, and pulling walls.
  • 8-Session Course: For those ready to dive deeper. We move beyond the basics, taking you through the full process of trimming and refining your pieces over a longer module.

Why Monday and Tuesday?

We reserve our studio for dedicated wheel sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays to ensure you have the peace and quiet needed to learn the technique. Whether it is raining, sunny, or just a regular day, you will have music, tea, and the best guidance from our master potter, Vinay.

What to Expect

Don't worry about the mess—paani aur mitti se darna nahi hai (don't fear water and mud), daag acche hote hain. We provide the aprons and the clay. Your final piece will be trimmed, bisque-fired, and glaze-fired to be food-safe, ready for collection in about 2 to 3 weeks. It is messy, challenging, and incredibly rewarding.

I am Aparnaa, and I started this studio because clay feels like magic to me. It is an honest, messy, and healing space where we care more about your experience than making perfect pots. Come over to our balcony, have some chai, and let us see what we can shape together.
