We believe pottery is more than just a class. Read about the experiences, claydates, and creative journeys of our students in Ghatkopar.

"It's a vibe." This student shares her experience, saying even though she "sucked initially," it was a great space to get her hands dirty.

"You can always come get your hands dirty." This student loved her time at the studio and is already ready to come back for a second time.

We asked our students to describe their experience in one word. "Relaxing," "calming," "healing," "stress buster," "brilliant," "fun." The words speak for themselves.

A therapist shares her experience, explaining how clay art is a great de-stressing exercise that releases oxytocin and gives an instant burst of creativity.

We asked our students to describe their pieces and their experience. The answers are always so full of joy, peace, and a sense of accomplishment.

"It has come out very pretty." This student was so happy with her finished bowl and her first pottery experience.

"A wonderful, peaceful, calming way to spend a Saturday morning." This student proudly shows off the cute cat mug she made.

"It was a great experience." This couple came for a surprise birthday claydate and highly recommend it to anyone who loves pottery.

This little artist made a beautiful vase for her mama's birthday. It's so special to see kids creating heartfelt gifts.

This student was looking for a unique birthday gift for her husband and decided to make one herself in our workshop.

About Words from Our Community

We have seen couples on date nights, solo creators looking for a quiet escape, and families discovering the magic of clay. Whether it is your first time or you are a returning regular, the feedback is almost always the same: it is the quiet, messy joy of making something with your own hands that sticks with you long after the class ends.

At Studio Hands inClay, we do not focus on perfection. We focus on the experience of letting go. Many of our students arrive feeling a bit nervous or stressed, especially if they have never touched clay before. As one of our students, a therapist, mentioned, the act of shaping clay is a genuine stress buster that brings an instant burst of creativity.

From the balcony of our Ghatkopar studio, with the sound of local trains in the distance and music playing, we have hosted everything from surprise birthday claydates to casual weekend hangouts. It is common for someone to say, 'I sucked at the start,' only to walk out with a mug or bowl they are genuinely proud of.

We always tell our students: paani aur mitti se darna nahi hai (do not be afraid of water and mud). The clay is forgiving, and so is our space. Our goal is to ensure that when you leave, you are not just carrying a piece of pottery, but a memory of a peaceful few hours. Whether you are coming to connect with a partner, bond with your kids, or just find some calm on your own, you will find a supportive crew here ready to help you shape your idea into reality. We are proud to be a part of these small, significant stories.

I am Aparnaa, and I founded Studio Hands inClay to create a space where you can leave the daily chaos at the door. I love seeing the shift in people from their first nervous touch of clay to the moment they finish their piece. It is not about being a pro, it is about finding that moment of calm and connection with yourself.
