I answer some of the most common questions I get from beginners. You don't need to be flexible to start, and yes, regular practice will help you lose fat. The key difference in yoga is the focus on breath to connect mind and body.

A core principle of my studio is that all our classes are beginner friendly. Here you can see students in Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog), where I ensure everyone is gently guided every step of the way.

Every class is a holistic practice. We combine asanas (poses) to release tension, pranayama (breathwork) to balance your breath, and meditation to quiet the mind. This image shows students in Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose), a great heart-opener for all levels.

The only requirement to start is a willingness to find the best version of yourself. I will take care of the rest. Here, students practice a variation of Parsvakonasana (Side Angle Pose), building strength and focus.

Each class is 60 minutes long. I believe this is the perfect amount of time to nourish your body, mind, and soul without feeling rushed. It's an hour dedicated completely to you.

About Beginner Friendly Yoga

Many people think they need to be flexible before stepping onto a mat, but that is exactly backward. In my GK-1 studio, I guide you through the basics of alignment and breath control in small batches of 6-10 students. This ensures that whether you are working with back pain or just haven't moved in years, you get the manual adjustments you need to practice safely.

Yoga is not about touching your toes; it is about what you learn on the way down. When you start, the biggest hurdle is usually the fear of looking out of place or getting injured. In my sessions, we remove that pressure entirely.

Whether you are interested in Hatha Yoga or want to learn the basics of Vinyasa Flow, the focus remains on the 'how' rather than the 'how much.' I use props like wooden blocks, straps, and wall ropes to ensure your body is supported, even if you are working around an injury.

What you can expect in a beginner session:

  • Manual Adjustments: I do not just demonstrate; I walk around the room to correct your posture, ensuring you do not strain your joints.
