About Your First Step: Yoga for Beginners
Many people think yoga requires extreme flexibility, but we start much gentler. My sessions focus on Sukshm Vyayam, which are subtle joint rotations for your neck, shoulders, and wrists. These moves release daily stiffness before we even touch a yoga mat, making them perfect if you are dealing with postpartum recovery or just getting back into physical activity after a long break.
Why Start Here?
If you have been inactive for a while, jumping straight into intense power yoga can do more harm than good. My beginner classes are designed to build your foundation first. We move slow, we breathe, and we focus on alignment.
What You Will Actually Do
- Sukshm Vyayam: We begin with joint rotations to mobilize your body and reduce stiffness. If you spend hours at a desk or hold your baby for long periods, this is where you will feel the most relief.
- Pranayama: I teach you how to start your day with Nadi Shuddhi (Alternate Nostril Breathing) and abdominal breathing. These take just 10 minutes but are incredibly powerful for calming a busy mind and balancing your energy levels.
- Foundation Poses: We learn the mechanics of basic poses like Baddha Konasana (Butterfly Pose). I show you how to use modifications so you can sit comfortably without straining your hips or lower back.
- Surya Namaskar: Once you are comfortable with the warm-ups, I guide you step-by-step through the Sun Salutation. It is the gold standard for a full-body workout, but only when done with the correct breath-movement coordination.
The 'Real' Expectation
My classes happen via Google Meet, so I can actually see you. I do not just play a recording. I watch your form, correct your posture in real-time, and make sure you are doing the movements safely. We are not aiming for a perfect pose on day one. We are aiming for a consistent practice that makes you feel strong, light, and confident. Consistency hi result deti hai (Consistency brings results). Are you ready to take those first 10 minutes for yourself?
