Beginner Foundation Program (3 Days/Week)
Core Training Module
- Frequency: 12 sessions per month (Mon/Wed/Fri schedule).
- Duration: 60 minutes per session focusing on fitness and discipline.
- Technique: Fundamentals of Stances (Sogi), Blocks (Makgi), and Basic Kicks.
- Self-Defense: Practical street defense techniques including wrist releases and basic strikes.
Facility & Coaching
- Class Format: Group training sessions led by black belt assistant coaches.
- Infrastructure: Non-AC Dojang equipped with 25mm safety puzzle mats and fans.
- Equipment: Access to shared academy kick paddles and heavy punching bags.
Advanced Competitive Program + Gym Access
Advanced Combat Training
- Frequency: 16 to 24 sessions per month (4 to 6 days/week).
- Sparring: Full-contact Olympic style (Kyorugi) practice with headguards and chest protectors.
- Skillset: Advanced dynamic kicks including Spinning Hook, Tornado, and Axe kicks.
Strength & Conditioning
- Gym Membership: Full access to STA Fitness Arena (Kirari branch).
- Equipment: Functional training zones (tyre flips, battle ropes) and heavy iron weight section.
- Athletics: Agility ladder drills and power sled pushes for explosive leg power.
Professional Guidance
- Head Coach: Direct mentorship under Master Vijay Gupta (National Team Coach).
- Career Support: Assistance with federation registration and tournament selection trials.
- Diet: Basic nutritional guidance for bout weight management.
About Taekwondo Training
Why I Teach Taekwondo
Taekwondo is everything to me. I started Shaolin Taekwondo Academy in 2006 because fighting—inside and outside the ring—is what I know best. What matters most isn’t my own medals, but seeing my students succeed. Jab mera student Team INDIA ka tracksuit pehenta hai aur championship jeet kar aata hai, voh feeling alag hi level ki hai (When my student puts on the Team INDIA tracksuit and returns as a champion, that feeling is on another level).
My Way of Training
Discipline and respect come first. In my classes, you learn to respect your seniors and masters—no excuses. We build a fighter’s mentality, making sure you rise after every fall. Kicking and punching is just one part. I mix mental discipline, meditation, and flexibility training for martial artists so you grow inside out.
What You’ll Learn
Anybody can join—kids, adults, total beginners, or serious athletes. You’ll pick up basics like stances, blocks, kicks (Ap Chagi, Dollyeo Chagi), plus practical self-defense moves for kids and adults. If you’re aiming for competitions, I push you with Olympic taekwondo coaching and tough taekwondo sparring drills. Our STA Fitness Arena gym is there for strength and conditioning.
Where We Train
Our dojang has matted floors, punching bags, kick pads, and all protective gear. We’ve got a full gym setup too. Classes run at Doon Public School, Paschim Vihar and CTS Complex, Partap Vihar (Kirari) on set weekdays, so pick what suits you.

My Story
Namaste, this is Vijay Gupta. Started Shaolin Taekwondo Academy back in 2006, and since then, it’s been a wild ride – laughter, sweat, medals, and some tears too. I’m a 4th dan black-belt, been called best coach by the federation for years, but nothing beats the rush of seeing the Indian flag go up at championships. My shaolin stars – students who’ve fought for India – they’re my pride. We fight, we fall, we rise, always.
