We don’t just do kicks and punches. Our track record? National and state champs, golds in both male and female self-defense, and a girls’ group pattern team that’s smashed it. What You’ll Learn
- Technique first: I’m always on about “Haath seedha rakh” (Keep those hands straight), because sloppy form doesn’t cut it.
- Self-defense for kids and adults: Drills for real-life situations, not just theory.
- Sparring and patterns (Tul): Both are core, both get equal focus.
- Conditioning: Stretching, flexibility, strength, and yes, a bit of sweating for weight control.
Who Fits In
Kids, teens, adults, boys, girls - everyone’s in. We train together, compete together, and move up the belt system together. The belt journey is serious; every step up, from white to black, has to be earned with proper belt exams.

My Story
Namaste, I’m Jayendra Puri, chief instructor here at Tigers Taekwondo Academy. My students, my 'tigers', are like family. Seeing them win medals, standing on that podium – that’s my real reward. We train hard, celebrate Diwali together, and live by 'Believe, Achieve & Succeed'. Taekwondo is life for us, not just sport. Jai Guru Ji, shukrana Guru Ji.
My Work
Taekwondo & Self-Defense Training - We teach ITF Taekwondo, self-defense for kids, and help with weight control Taekwondo.
Competition Preparation - We coach students for national Taekwondo competition, focusing on patterns and sparring.
Personal Guidance & Discipline - I guide every tiger personally, making sure technique and discipline stay top-notch.
Fitness & Dedication - Taekwon-Do fitness training for all ages, but only for those who are ready to work hard.
