My practice is designed to help you balance your imbalances, especially for those managing chronic conditions. These sessions incorporate specific asanas and techniques to support those with PCOD, diabetes, and thyroid concerns, helping to restore harmony in the body.
A healthy thyroid is crucial for your metabolism and energy levels. This video shows a student practicing a variation of Sirsasana, or headstand, an inversion that can help stimulate the thyroid gland and improve circulation.
During an online session for International Day of Yoga, I conducted a workshop on how yoga can help regulate hormones. Understanding how our body works is the first step towards healing it naturally.
About Yoga for Specific Health Concerns
I do not believe in one-size-fits-all yoga. When you join my sessions, we look at your specific health markers—be it PCOD, thyroid issues, or chronic back pain—and map out a practice that uses props, breathwork, and modified asanas to support your body's healing, rather than just pushing it to exercise.
My approach is rooted in 'Swasth Arogya Nilaya', which means creating a true abode for your health. Whether you are struggling with a specific hormonal imbalance like PCOD or thyroid, or managing long-term conditions like diabetes and arthritis, the goal is the same: to bring harmony back to your system.
How I Work
I focus on the science of yoga therapy. In my classes, we don't just focus on the poses; we look at the specific physiological responses your body needs. For instance, we use inversions and targeted pranayama (breathwork) to help regulate metabolic function, and supported stretches to ease the joints in arthritis. Every session is designed to be low-impact and high-benefit.
Hybrid Flexibility
You can join me in-person at my studio in Yeshwanthpur, where we have a wood-floored space fully equipped with blocks, straps, and chairs to assist your practice. If you cannot commute, I offer the exact same therapeutic attention via live Zoom sessions. My goal is to ensure that distance or mobility issues never stand in the way of your recovery.
