Playful movement is at the heart of Krida Yoga. Here, kids engage in dynamic rolling exercises that build core strength and coordination while allowing them to have fun and release energy in a structured way.
About Kids Yoga in Action
Our approach is not about forcing children into rigid poses. We use Krida Yoga, a system of playful movement and traditional Indian games like Chauka Bara, to help kids develop motor skills, balance, and patience without feeling like they are in a classroom. Every session is designed to break the cycle of screen time, using specific breathwork and Brain Gym exercises that genuinely improve memory and concentration.
The Kids Summer Camp and ongoing development batches at Pradipika are built on the principle of Yoga for Self and Society. We know that children today face unique pressures, from heavy school bags to excessive screen time, which is why our curriculum is structured to address physical, mental, and social growth.
The Holistic Curriculum
Our camp is a 60-hour program spread across 3 weeks, designed to be engaging rather than exhausting. We focus on:
- Physical Foundation: Dynamic Suryanamaskars and stretching asanas that promote height growth and correct posture issues caused by sedentary schooling.
- Mental Clarity: Beyond physical exercise, we incorporate Brain Gym to improve left-right brain coordination and simple Pranayama to reduce anxiety.
- Cultural Roots: We reintroduce traditional games like Aadu Huli Aata, which teach strategy and social interaction, helping children unplug from digital devices.
Why Parents Choose Us
Our instructors are M.Sc qualified with over a decade of experience, not just yoga teachers but mentors who understand child psychology. We intentionally keep our batch sizes small, typically 10 to 15 children, to ensure every student gets the personal guidance needed for safe and effective practice. Whether it is our Summer Camp in April and May or our recurring monthly development batches, the focus remains on instilling discipline as a form of freedom, not restriction.
Pradipika Institute of Yoga
We are the Pradipika family, based in Rajajinagar since 2010. We see yoga as a way to help children grow strong and calm, teaching them that discipline is actually a form of freedom from stress and distraction.
