About Brain Boosters & Traditional Games
We specifically use Brain Gym exercises and traditional strategy games like Chauka Bara to bridge the gap between physical movement and cognitive growth. Rather than letting children lose focus on digital screens, these sessions encourage them to use their hands and minds together, improving memory and left-right brain coordination in a way that feels like pure play.
In our years of teaching at Rajajinagar, we have noticed that children often crave structure that doesn't feel like a classroom. That is why our camp integrates traditional games and cognitive exercises.
Why Traditional Games Matter
Games like Chauka Bara, Kunte Bille, and Aadu Huli Aata are not just pastimes. They demand strategic thinking, patience, and social interaction. Unlike digital games that provide instant, often hollow, gratification, these desi games require the child to slow down, plan their next move, and engage with their peers. This builds emotional intelligence and teaches children how to handle wins and losses gracefully.
The Brain Gym Approach
Our Brain Gym modules focus on neuro-coordination. These are non-equipment exercises designed to synchronize the left and right hemispheres of the brain. When a child practices these movements, they are essentially training their brain to switch from a state of distraction to one of deep concentration. This has a direct impact on academic performance, helping with memory retention and managing exam-related stress.
A Screen-Free Environment
We provide a space where the focus is entirely on physical and mental development. By moving away from screens and towards tactile activities like bottle painting, calligraphy, and strategy games, we help children rediscover the joy of manual creation. We keep our batches small in our Rajajinagar studio to ensure that every child gets individual attention from our mentors, whether they are working on a canvas painting or learning the rules of a classic board game.
