Party decoration in Bengaluru

How to build the link

• Start from https://mytribe.in/parties-occasions/decorators-in-bengaluru and add fields after ?, joined with &. Encode each value, so spaces become + or %20.
• Every field is optional. Fields the page doesn't know are ignored, and so are values that aren't on a field's list.
• Values are cut at 200 characters. Anything that looks like a phone number is dropped, so never put one in. No email addresses or house addresses either: area is a locality, never an address.
• The page reads the link in the browser after it loads. If you fetch the link without running JavaScript you get the plain page. Your user's phone shows the page made for them.
• Prices are estimates for the setup in the photos. Setup, takedown and travel inside the city are usually part of the price. Helium, venue fees and setups far out of town are extra. The decorator confirms the price.
• Tapping Get this setup sends a WhatsApp message to mytribe with the setup and everything the link set. mytribe connects them with the decorator. There's no booking, advance or fee on the page.
• This page is party decor: birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, surprises and the like. Traditional decor for a pooja, housewarming, naming ceremony, seemantham or festival at home is on [the pooja and ceremony decor page](https://mytribe.in/parties-occasions/pooja-and-ceremony-decorators-in-bengaluru), which takes the same kind of link. Weddings and engagements aren't on either page.

Make it their own page

When you know who the party is for, add type=user and their details. The page then opens as theirs: the heading reads "Jungle party decor for Riya" with their name in colour, a line says "Picked by mytribe for you, near HSR Layout", their details sit under it as chips, and their notes show in a "Your notes" card. A "Pick decorators for me" button under that asks mytribe on WhatsApp to shortlist two or three decorators, who each send their own proposal. Below come "Our top picks for you", four setups from different decorators (when more than six fit), then the rest of the setups that fit. The filters start set from the link. The sections written for search engines are left out, and the page isn't indexed.

type

user, listinguser makes it their own page, as above. listing titles the page by theme and area ("Jungle party decor near HSR Layout") and is meant for ads. Leave it out for the plain page with the filters applied.

name

Their first nameGoes in the heading ("Jungle party decor for Riya"). Without it the heading reads "Jungle party decor picked for you". The WhatsApp message they send starts "Hi! I'm Riya."

for

Who it's for and the occasion, in a few wordsShown as a chip. "her daughter's 5th birthday" reads "Your daughter's 5th birthday": a leading her, his, their, my or our becomes your. When there's no occasion field the page picks the occasion from these words: a 1st birthday picks First birthday, a 5th Kids birthday, a 15th Teen birthday, an 18th, 21st or 30th Milestone birthday, and words like baby shower, anniversary, proposal or bride to be pick those.

theme

The theme in their wordsGoes in the heading ("Jungle party decor for Riya"). When there's no style field it also picks the closest theme filter: jungle, unicorn, princess, superhero, cartoon names like Cocomelon or Peppa Pig, under the sea, dinosaur, space, boho and so on. Use it on a personal page even when you also set style, or the heading reads "Party decor".

date

The day, like 15 NovShown as a chip and filled in on every request they send. Write a day and a short month so the page can read it: near a festival like Deepavali, each setup warns that decorators book out then. Words like "this weekend" are shown as written.

time

When it should be ready, like eveningShown as a chip ("Ready by evening") and sent with their request.

area

A Bengaluru locality, like HSR LayoutShown under the heading. When the page knows the locality it shows only decorators who work there, with the distance to each. The localities it knows are under Decorators by area below. Any other value is shown as written and doesn't filter.

guests

A numberShown as a chip ("40 guests") and sent with their request. It doesn't filter: set size for the space.

note

Their wishes, in the first person, as they'd say themShown in the "Your notes" card and sent with every request, so the decorator reads it too. Write it the way they would ("I want green and gold, and her name on the backdrop."), never "the customer wants". It never filters. Up to 1,200 characters; put one point per line (%0A in the link) and they show as bullets.

sample

A photo they sent us, as its storage key from the request's attachments (whatsapp/1627152718990593)Shown under their notes as "The photo you sent us". Use only a photo the customer sent, never one we made.

Filter the setups

These work with or without type=user. Each one narrows the setups, and they all apply together.

occasion

kids-birthday, first-birthday, adult-birthday, anniversary, baby-shower, welcome-baby, milestone-birthday, teen-birthday, bride-to-beShows only setups made for this occasion.

size

wall (one wall or a corner at home), room (a room at home), restaurant (a restaurant or café), hall (a party hall, banquet or lawn)Where the party is, which sets the price more than anything else. Setups made for that place come first. A setup for a smaller space also shows for a bigger one: a wall setup suits a room, and a backdrop that stands on its own suits a hall too. A corner at home is wall, and a banquet or lawn is hall.

budget

Rupees they mean to spend, like 25000On the plain page it's a target: setups from 60% of it up to it, so budget=25000 shows about ₹15,000 to ₹25,000. On a personal page the page filters exactly min to budget, so build the leeway into the link yourself: a quarter either side of what they said. They said ₹3,000 to ₹7,000: min=2250&budget=8750. They said about ₹25,000: min=18750&budget=31250. People who name a budget are usually fine a little either side, and a leeway the page added quietly would show setups outside the filter they see.

min

RupeesThe lowest they'd spend. With budget it makes a range: min=10000&budget=30000 shows setups from ₹10,000 to ₹30,000.

style

cartoon-character, butterfly, jungle-and-safari, princess, rainbow, elegant-and-minimal, floral, woodland-and-fairy-garden, black-and-gold, teddy-bear, love-and-hearts, superhero, cars-and-vehicles, candyland, hot-air-balloon, unicorn, under-the-sea, boho, baby-boss, mermaid, space, food-and-drink, rose-gold, sports, hobby-or-job, winter-wonderland, nursery-rhyme, circus, gaming, krishna, bride-to-be, dinosaur, twinkle-twinkle-little-star, prince, hawaiianShows only setups in this theme. For something narrower, like one character, use q.

q

Search wordsMatches each setup's title, description, kind, themes, occasions, colours, what's in it and the decorator's name: q=cocomelon, q=neon, q=sequin+wall. It applies together with the other filters, so leave out style unless you want both.

kind

balloon-backdrop (balloon backdrops), theme-backdrop (theme backdrops), full-theme-setup (full theme setups), simple-balloons (simple balloons), premium-styled (styled setups), entrance (entrances), room-surprise (room surprises)Shows only this kind of setup. Most useful for a particular need, like a room surprise, an entrance or a selfie point.

venue

clubhouse-or-party-hall, home, hotel-or-banquet, outdoor-or-lawn, restaurant-or-cafeWhere the photo was taken. Most setups can be made for another place, so use size for where the party is.

colour

pink, white, blue, gold, purple, green, silver, pastel, red, yellow, black, peach, orange, rainbow, brown-and-nudeShows only setups with this colour. Leave it out unless they asked for a colour: on top of a place and a budget it can leave nothing.

sort

recommended, nearest, low, highThe order of the setups. nearest needs area. low and high sort by the estimate. Leave it out for recommended.
