I'm Gayatri, and I run Mahinava Events out of Whitefield, Bangalore. Floral and traditional South Indian ceremony decor is my favourite work, but I also do birthdays, themes, and balloon setups.
Birthday Party Decoration
I decorate birthdays for all ages and any theme - cartoon, superhero, princess, jungle, you name it. Custom name displays, photo corners, and milestone setups for 1st birthdays included.
Family & Cultural Ceremony Decoration
Floral and traditional decor for Seemantham, Gruha Pravesh, Half-Saree, Naming, Upanayanam, Pellikoduku, Satyanarayan pooja and similar South Indian ceremonies. Fresh flowers, banana leaf, brass, done my way.
Party Entertainment & Add-ons
Fun extras I arrange when I'm already doing your event decor: kids' activity artists, live snack counters, inflatables, a 360 photo booth, and cold pyro or fog effects. Not booked standalone, only alongside my decor.
Wedding Event Decoration
Decor for receptions, engagements, Haldi, Mehndi, Pellikoduku, and at-home wedding functions. Intimate setups to classic banquet stages, with traditional South Indian or modern styling.

My Story
Hi, I'm Gayatri, the founder of Mahinava Events (since 2018). Events run in my family - my father was in this business before me, and I've carried that legacy into my own work. Born and raised in Bangalore, I'm that person who loves a stylish party but will still drag my husband for a temple date. 'Temple date ki veldamaa?' is my go-to. I do all kinds of decor, but my real love is floral and traditional ceremonies - Seemantham, Gruha Pravesh, Satyanarayan pooja. That's where I put my best work.
My Work
What I Decorate - Traditional South Indian ceremonies (Seemantham, Gruha Pravesh, Half-Saree, Pellikoduku, Upanayanam, poojas), themed birthdays for all ages, and intimate wedding functions.
Where I'm Strongest - Floral and traditional work at the 25,000+ range - banana leaf backdrops, marigold and tuberose, brass lamps, fresh-flower stages. This is the work I love most.
How I Work - Honest about what will look good and what won't. If your idea won't work, I'll tell you. If it will, I'll make it happen.
My Quote, My Quote - I price fairly and I don't negotiate down. I'd rather walk away than do half-hearted work at a lower price.
Where I Work - Whitefield-based, 10km free travel. For 20,000+ jobs I cover anywhere in Bangalore. No destination work outside the city.
Languages I Speak - English and Telugu are my comfort zone, I'm fluent in both. I get by in Hindi and Kannada too, so most Bangalore families can chat with me in whatever feels easiest.
What's Not Included - My core is decor. Party activities and entertainment I can add on when I'm already doing your decor. Photography and catering I leave to specialists - mytribe routes those separately.
