You don't just start throwing punches at random. In my classes, we prioritize the 'why' behind every movement. You will spend time perfecting your footwork and guard because if your base is weak, your power is meaningless. I ensure you build this foundation safely, whether you are here for fitness or amateur competition.
The Discipline of the Basics
Boxing is more than hitting a bag. It is a mental and physical game that starts with footwork. In our Jayanagar training center, we break every movement down to its smallest component. Beginners start with shadowboxing, not to show off, but to understand how their center of gravity shifts with every jab or hook. We focus on rhythm, stance, and balance until they become muscle memory.
Training Methodology
When you train with me, you follow a structured progression:
- Stance & Guard: We ensure your hands are high and your chin is tucked before you ever throw a punch.
- Mitt Work: This is where we correct your mechanics. It helps you understand range, timing, and precision, which you cannot learn hitting a heavy bag alone.
- Conditioning: Impact absorption requires a strong core and neck. Expect bodyweight exercises and tire drills designed to build the stamina needed for sustained rounds.
Your Path to the Ring
We separate training tracks to suit your goals. If you are here for fitness, our group sessions focus on high-energy conditioning and technique without the risk of heavy sparring. If your goal is to compete in amateur boxing, you move into our advanced track where we introduce controlled, supervised sparring in our regulation ring. We use professional protective gear and I personally supervise every round to ensure safety while teaching you how to handle the pressure of the ring.
