Functional Strength and Conditioning for Combat Sports
Power is not just about muscle size. At Panthers Combat Club, we build the functional strength, endurance, and explosive power that directly translates to better performance in the ring and daily life.
Students performing bent over barbell rows to build back and core strength. A strong posterior chain is critical for generating powerful punches, and it is a key focus in our strength training.
We mix conditioning with skill work. Here, students move from doing pull ups for upper body strength directly into practicing their boxing combinations, building endurance for long fights.
A demonstration of advanced calisthenics, including handstand push ups. Bodyweight exercises like these are excellent for developing functional strength and control, essential for any martial artist.
A female student working on her chest press and dumbbell flys in our strength zone. I provide strength training programs for all my clients to help them build muscle and improve overall fitness.
We have a dedicated strength and conditioning area with various machines and free weights. This student is using different equipment to complete a full body workout.
A client focusing on bicep curls with dumbbells. Building arm strength is an important part of our overall fitness and boxing training regimen.
About this collection
You will not find endless hours on treadmills here. My strength sessions are built specifically for combat athletes, focusing on functional movements like pull-ups, barbell rows, and explosive bodyweight drills. We build the posterior chain and core power you actually need for throwing a punch or absorbing an impact. It is raw, effective training meant to make you a more dangerous and durable fighter, whether you step into the ring or just want a tougher body.
In my 22 years of coaching, I have seen people obsess over the wrong kind of strength. Bodybuilding looks good, but combat conditioning keeps you in the fight. At Panthers Combat Club in Jayanagar, we prioritize durability. Our workouts are designed to improve your explosive power and muscular endurance. Expect to work with free weights, heavy bags, and your own body weight. We do not use machines to isolate muscles; we train the whole body to work together.
This is natural training. No steroids, no shortcuts. Whether you are a beginner looking to lose weight or a serious athlete training for amateur boxing meets, my programs are scaled to your level. We focus on technique first, then intensity. You will learn to control your weight, increase your stamina, and develop the mental discipline to push through the final round of any workout. If you are ready to stop dreaming and start working, join us on the mat.
