Mandala Art Workshops in Bangalore
Discover the calm of creating your own Mandala. Whether you prefer the meditative focus of dot painting or the intricate detail of ink work, I guide you step-by-step through the process. No experience is needed, just bring your curiosity.
Here’s one of my young students completely absorbed in her Mandala. The way she carefully adds color shows how this art form can be so relaxing and rewarding for all ages.
This unique two-part Mandala was such a creative idea from a student. It shows how you can play with symmetry and color to make a design that is completely your own.
We also make beautiful and useful things like these Mandala bookmarks. They are created with watercolor backgrounds and detailed ink work, making them a perfect small project.
This is a finished piece from my dot Mandala workshop. Using simple tools, we build up the design dot by dot, creating a beautiful, textured artwork on a coaster.
Watch the process of creating a dot Mandala. Each dot is placed with care, building layers of color and pattern. It’s a very mindful technique that I love to teach.
So much joy in these finished pieces. My students proudly showing off the beautiful Mandalas they created on textured paper during one of our kids art classes.
About Mandala Art: A Meditative Journey
I keep my Mandala workshops small, usually around 6 to 10 people, because I want to make sure you get the support you need, especially if you are a beginner. Whether we are dotting on coasters or drawing complex patterns on paper, the goal is always the same: a relaxed, mindful space where you can switch off and simply enjoy creating.
Creating a Mandala is less about drawing perfect circles and more about finding a rhythm that quiets the mind. In my studio at Kalena Agrahara, near Bannerghatta Road, I see people walk in carrying the stress of their week, and within an hour, that tension just fades away. We focus on two main styles during these sessions:
Dot Mandala Painting
We use dotting tools to place paint on surfaces like MDF coasters or small canvases. It is incredibly satisfying to see a blank coaster transform as you build layers of color, dot by dot. This is a very repetitive, soothing process that acts like a form of active meditation.
Traditional Ink Drawing
For those who prefer a pen-and-paper approach, we work on geometric patterns and floral motifs. We start with basic symmetry and guide you through adding intricate details. It’s a wonderful way to learn how to structure a design and watch your own unique story unfold on paper.
