The forest is you, and you are the forest. The beautiful, earthy entrance to one of our rooms at the retreat, reminding us of our deep connection to nature.
About Wilderness & Ayurveda Immersions
Before we even step onto the mat, we often start with Nadi Pariksha, an Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis. Understanding your unique dosha constitution isn't just theory here; it changes how you approach your morning flow, what you eat, and how you rest for the remainder of the week.
Finding Your Natural Rhythm
When we strip away the noise of city life and place ourselves in the thick of a forest—like at The Bamboo Forest in Tadoba—something shifts. The air is cleaner, the sounds are primal, and your nervous system finally gets permission to downshift. Integrating Ayurveda into this setting turns a simple getaway into a cellular reset.
The Daily Flow
We do not just practice yoga here; we live it. Mornings are dedicated to alignment-based asana practice that warms the body, followed by meals crafted specifically to balance your doshas. We look at the interplay between your physical movement and the environment. Are you Vata-dominant and needing grounding? Or perhaps Kapha, needing movement and stimulation? The setting allows us to observe these imbalances in real time.
What to Expect
- Personal Diagnosis: A consultation to map your Ayurvedic constitution.
- Mindful Movement: Hatha and Vinyasa flows adjusted for your energy levels.
- Nature Immersion: Jungle safaris and silent walks that teach us patience and observation.
- Sound & Stillness: Evening restorative sessions, often with sound healing, to settle the mind before sleep.
A Note on Logistics
These immersions are about finding ease. You do not need to be an advanced yogi; you need to be open to self-enquiry. Whether we are in the humid tropics or the dry mountains, the focus remains the same: returning you to your natural state of rest.
