Vipassana Meditation and Breathwork Sessions
I open my doors every Sunday for a free, community-led practice of Vipassana. Come turn your attention inward, quiet the mind, and learn the art of simply watching your breath.
In the quiet, we find ourselves. I open my doors every Sunday for a free Vipassana meditation session, a practice of turning your attention inward. This is my offering to the community, a chance to simply watch your breath and be.
In a world full of distractions, finding focus can be difficult. Vipassana meditation has been my secret to managing a busy life with a clear mind. Join me to learn how to concentrate on your breath and find your center.
Vipassana is a 10-day disconnection from the world to reconnect with yourself, just like in the womb. Because this gift was given to me for free, I share it for free, opening my doors for introductory sessions to this life-changing experience.
My simplest mantra is breathing well. I've learned to control my body's temperature just through breathwork, a testament to the mind-body connection. It's a simple, powerful tool for adapting to any situation.
*Kshama Bhaav*, or the state of forgiveness, is a core part of my practice. In our meditation sessions, we practice asking for and offering forgiveness, which helps to release emotional burdens and cultivate inner peace.
About Vipassana Meditation & Breathwork
My approach to Vipassana is about keeping things real and accessible for everyone, from absolute beginners to old practitioners. We start every Sunday with a focus on Anapana, the natural breath, in a quiet, temperature-controlled environment in Sadashivanagar. There is no cost for this because it is my way of sharing a gift that fundamentally shifted my own perspective on life.
Finding a moment of silence in a busy city like Bangalore can feel impossible. That is why I started these Sunday sessions at Justbe.
The Practice
We focus on Vipassana and Anapana, observing the breath as it is, without trying to force or change it. These sessions are not about rigid rules or complex theories; they are about coming back to your center. We follow the teachings of S.N. Goenka, keeping the method pure and simple.
Why Sunday Sessions?
We host two groups every Sunday:
- 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: For experienced practitioners.
- 9:15 AM – 9:45 AM: Dedicated to beginners.
After the session, we often share a whole food plant-based breakfast, where we discuss our experiences. It is a time for community, introspection, and asking for Kshama Bhaav (forgiveness), which helps release emotional burdens and keeps the mind light.
Who This Is For
You do not need any special gear or prior experience. Just come as you are. If you have been feeling distracted, overwhelmed, or just disconnected from yourself, this is your invitation to pause. It is a chance to practice the same techniques that helped me regulate my own body temperature and find calm in the chaos. Wear comfortable clothes, bring an open mind, and join us on the mat.
JustBe
I'm Nidhi. I didn't start these sessions because I'm a guru, but because Vipassana gave me a tool to manage my life that I couldn't keep to myself. I open my space in Sadashivanagar every week for anyone who needs to find their breath again.
