Science-Backed Strength Coaching
We don't guess, we test. At Namma, every movement is grounded in biomechanics to keep you injury-free while you get stronger.
It's not just about lifting the weight; it's about how you lift it. Here, our coach demonstrates how correcting the setup for a deadlift engages the entire lower body, turning it from a grip exercise into a powerful, full body movement.
Understanding the "why" behind the movement is key. Our master coach explains the biomechanics of pushing and pulling, showing how proper foot position and body mechanics are the same for a squat as they are for a push press.
That look you give when the coach says "one more rep" for the fifth time. Our coaches are there to push you past your perceived limits while ensuring your form remains solid.
A great coach possesses deep knowledge. Here, one of our coaches demonstrates a push up variation, focusing on wrist position and body alignment to build foundational strength for more advanced movements.
The pull up is a fundamental test of strength. Our coaches provide hands on assistance and scalable progressions to help every member work towards achieving this milestone, focusing on proper form every step of the way.
Teamwork makes the dream work, especially when it comes to mastering technique. Our coaches work together to ensure everyone in the class receives guidance and correction, creating a culture of continuous improvement.
Even our coaches are constantly refining their skills. Here, one of our team members demonstrates a kipping pull up, a dynamic movement that requires a combination of strength, timing, and coordination.
About this collection
You won't find us counting reps while you struggle with poor form. When you join a session, our coaches actually watch how your hips hinge during a deadlift or your shoulder blades track in a pull-up. It is about moving efficiently so you stay injury-free for the long haul. We are not here to just tire you out, we are here to teach you how to own your body in every single lift.
Why Form Matters More Than The PR
It is simple physics. If your setup for a squat or deadlift is off, you are leaving strength on the table and inviting injury. We see it all the time in commercial gyms: people rushing to add weight before they have mastered the mechanics. At Namma, we slow things down. We use video analysis, tactile cues, and strict technical standards to ensure your foundation is rock solid.
How We Train
Our classes are centered around functional movements that translate to real life. Whether you are doing Olympic weightlifting, calisthenics, or CrossFit-style conditioning, the goal is the same: progressive overload managed by a certified coach.
- Biomechanics Focus: We prioritize the 'why' behind every rep. You will understand how your ankle mobility or shoulder position dictates your lifting capacity.
- Scalable Programs: Every Workout of the Day (WOD) is scalable. Whether you are lifting the bar for the first time or training for an advanced skill, the intensity is relative to your current ability.
- Tracking Results: We don't rely on memory. We log your PRs and progress on our whiteboards and through our training app, so you can clearly see the data behind your growth.
We operate out of multiple locations across Bengaluru including Whitefield, HSR Layout, and Koramangala. If you are tired of guessing your way through a workout, come by and see how we do it.
Namma Training
We are Namma. We started this because we were tired of gyms that let people throw weights around without a clue. We are here to make sure you move well, train hard, and actually enjoy the grind with a crew that has your back.
