This is a classic Kung Fu crane stance, a posture that cultivates balance, leg strength, and patience. Mastering these forms is essential for developing a solid foundation in martial arts.
The crane stance, viewed from another angle, highlights the importance of posture and alignment. Each movement in my practice has a purpose, designed to build functional strength and control.
My personal practice includes maintaining peak flexibility for powerful movements. This high side kick demonstrates the range of motion that I help my students work towards.
About The Master's Practice
True martial arts is not just about the kicks you see in these photos, but the internal work that makes them possible. When you train with me in Vasant Vihar or at home, we start with the fundamentals of breath and stance, ensuring your foundation is rock solid before we add speed or power.
Building the Foundation
Kung Fu is a life-long journey. My practice is not about finding shortcuts or quick results. Whether we are working on basic crane stances to build leg strength or dynamic roundhouse kicks, every movement has a purpose. We focus on functional flexibility—not just static stretching, but active range of motion that you can actually use in a real self-defense scenario.
Mind and Body Connection
I follow the Shaolin philosophy: defeat is only a state of mind. Training here means you will learn to quiet your thoughts while pushing your physical limits. We incorporate Qigong and Tai Chi principles to help you manage your energy, focus your attention, and stay calm under pressure. You will sweat, you will work hard, but you will also leave every session feeling more balanced.
Training Options
I offer two main ways to train:
- Group Training: We meet at our Vasant Vihar studio, where the raw, focused environment helps everyone stay motivated. It is about building a community of people who want to be fit and disciplined.
- Home Sessions: For those who need flexibility, I come to you. We use tools like TRX straps and focus mitts to get you results in your own space, with PNF-assisted stretching to safely push your limits.
Whatever your age or fitness level, my goal is to help you be like water—flowing around obstacles and staying adaptable in everything you do.
