About Grappling: BJJ & Wrestling
We don't do air conditioning or fancy gimmicks. Our mats at the Hosa Road facility are built for sweat and consistent rolling. If you’re looking to build your guard game or master a single-leg takedown, come ready to put in the work on the floor.
At Sai MMA Academy, we treat Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and wrestling as the essential ground game for any complete fighter. There are no shortcuts here. You spend time in the Gi to learn precise grips and leverage, and we switch to No-Gi training to focus on speed, transitions, and the reality of an MMA fight.
Our sessions cover the full spectrum. We drill wrestling takedowns to ensure you control where the fight happens, and we spend hours on the mat perfecting your guard, escapes, and submission setups. It is not just about learning a move, it is about 'rolling'—live sparring where you test those techniques against a resisting partner.
This environment is for anyone willing to put in the time. Whether you are training for a competition, looking for practical self-defense, or just wanting to get fit, the mechanics remain the same. We keep our groups mid-sized, typically 10 to 15 students, to ensure everyone gets feedback on their form.
If you have never grappled, do not worry about not knowing the basics. We all start somewhere. The mats at our Hosa Road facility see a mix of absolute beginners and experienced blue belts, all working to get better every day. If you want to refine your ground game, come down for a session and see how we work. Avvalothan.
