At Sai MMA Academy, competition isn't about collecting medals. It is about testing what we learn on the mats against the best in the game. From BJJ nationals to state-level kickboxing, we train to push limits.

Proud to take home the silver medal at the Open Submission Grappling Championship. I learned a lot from this competition and the experience only fuels my hunger for gold next time.

The medals represent the journey. Each one is a story of dedication, sacrifice, and countless hours of training.

It's an honor to be recognized as a referee and judge at the WAKO Karnataka Open Kickboxing Championship. Being involved in the sport from all angles keeps my knowledge sharp.

Another shot from my time as an official at the Bangalore District Kickboxing Championship. It's great to give back to the sport and help it grow.

A throwback to my MMA fighting days. That feeling of getting your hand raised in the cage is what every fighter chases.

Highlights from the Kerala Open National Grappling Championship where I won the gold medal. This video shows some of the key moments from my matches.

About this collection

Competition training here is not about theory. It is about mat hours. Whether you are prepping for your first white belt tournament or a national grappling championship, we focus on live rolling and technical sparring to test your movements against real resistance. You will sweat, you will get tired, and you will learn exactly what works under pressure.

We don't separate 'fit' from 'fighter'. Every student at Sai MMA Academy gets exposed to the same principles of discipline and technique that our competition team uses. Training for a tournament, whether it is an India Open Jiu-Jitsu match or a district-level kickboxing fight, requires a specific mindset. It involves rigorous sparring, focused mitt work, and the mental toughness to stay calm when you are exhausted.

My background as a mechanical engineer taught me that systems and processes matter. In the gym, that translates to methodical drilling. We don't guess in our training. We drill positions, troubleshoot our guard passes, and refine our striking combos under fatigue.

You will see our team competing in Gi and No-Gi grappling, and Muay Thai-style kickboxing circuits across Bangalore and beyond. We hold ourselves to high standards, often traveling for national-level grappling championships to face diverse competition. This keeps our technical knowledge sharp and ensures that what we teach isn't just theory.

If you are joining our fight team, expect transparency about your progress. We talk about weight management, rule sets, and game planning. We want you to win, but more importantly, we want you to represent the craft with honor. Training here is raw, honest, and demanding. Avvalothan. If you are ready to stop talking about it and start training, step onto the mats.

I am Babu, and I live by the rule that there are no shortcuts. I started this academy to create a space where hard work is the only currency. When I am not competing or refereeing, I am on the mats pushing my students to find their own limits.
