About Learn From The Best
These aren't lecture halls where you just take notes. When we host a guest instructor, expect three to four hours of intensive drilling and live rolling. You will be put through the wringer, repeating takedowns and submission entries until the movement becomes muscle memory. Bring your gear and be ready to sweat.
Growth happens when you step outside your daily training routine. Our seminar program is designed to bridge the gap between casual practice and high-level competition by bringing in experts who have competed on the global stage, from UFC fighters like Dustin Stoltzfus to technical specialists like Robert Degle.
Why We Host These Seminars
Jiu-Jitsu is a deliberate study. Sometimes, the best way to evolve is to see how someone else solves a problem. Whether it is a deep dive into leg locks, mastering the K-guard, or refining your takedown entries, these workshops force you to analyze your own game.
What You Can Expect
- Technical Breakdown: No fluff. Guest instructors dissect specific positions, setups, and finishes.
- Live Rolling: We prioritize mat time. You won't just watch demonstrations; you will drill the techniques with different partners to understand the nuances of weight distribution and timing.
- Community Input: We open these sessions to the wider Bengaluru martial arts community. It is a chance to roll with new people and test your defenses against styles you might not see every day.
If you are serious about your progress, treat these seminars as mandatory checkpoints in your development. We announce these as they happen, keeping the focus on technical quality rather than quantity.
Institute of Jiu-Jitsu
I am Rohit. I started IJJ because I wanted a place that takes this sport seriously—no ego, no shortcuts, just technical proficiency. We build this community one rep at a time, and I personally ensure every session on these mats hits the mark.
