About this collection
You won't find corporate, sanitized demos here. Our techniques are tested in the cage, not just on a whiteboard. Whether it’s Coach Shiv explaining why 'clinch fighting' is crucial in Muay Thai or a breakdown of specific kick combinations, everything we share comes from the same drill-heavy approach we use in our 90-minute group sessions. If you are serious about fighting, stop guessing and start learning the mechanics that actually win matches.
Understanding the Fight
At Bengaluru MMA, we believe technique is useless without the pressure to test it. That is why our training library isn't just theory; it is a direct window into how we prepare our fighters. When we talk about the three pillars of MMA—standing fight, ground fight, and clinch fight—we are talking about specific mechanics that you can drill today.
The Three Pillars
- Standing: Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and Boxing. It is about footwork, range, and landing clean. As we say in the gym, 'ತಲೆ ಬಗ್ಗಿಸಬೇಡ' (don't lower your head) when you trade.
- Ground Game: Wrestling, Judo, and BJJ. This is where you learn to pin and submit. Our classes focus on fundamental positions and escapes because a fighter who can't defend on the mat won't last a round.
- The Clinch: This is where Muay Thai meets wrestling. It’s close combat. You’re wrapping up, controlling the head, and driving knees or elbows. Most beginners ignore this, but it is often where fights are decided.
Training for Real
We aren't here to give you a polished fitness workout. Whether you are at our Jalahalli, Basaveshwara Nagar, or Jnana Jyothi Nagar location, you will be doing the same agility drills and pad work we do to prepare for tournaments. We focus on fundamentals like hip movement for kicks, sprawl mechanics for takedown defense, and 'ground and pound' drills that condition your body for the reality of competition.
If you have been watching UFC and wanting to understand the 'why' behind the moves, come down. We don't care if you have zero experience. We care that you are willing to sweat, listen to the instruction, and become part of our fight family.
Bengaluru MMA
We are Bengaluru MMA. This isn’t a commercial gym where you’re just another member; this is our fight family. We push you hard because we want you to win, whether you're here for fitness or aiming for the cage.
