About Plan Your Training
We run two distinct streams: morning sessions that are strictly No-Gi and evening batches that alternate between Gi and No-Gi. If you are just starting, pick any beginner batch, but remember our facility uses industrial fans for ventilation—it gets hot, and that is part of the grind.
Understanding Our Schedule
We structure our classes to ensure steady progression, whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner. Our schedule is designed to balance technical drilling with live rolling, ensuring you get the right amount of intensity without burnout.
Gi vs. No-Gi
Understanding the difference is key to your growth. Our Gi classes focus on the traditional kimono, teaching you how to use grips and friction to control opponents. Our No-Gi sessions, which make up our entire morning stream, focus on wrestling, speed, and positioning. Most of our members train both to become well-rounded grapplers.
Level Progression
- Beginners: These sessions focus on fundamentals. You will learn how to fall safely, basic submissions, and how to defend yourself from common positions. You do not need any prior experience to start here.
- Advanced: Once you have a handle on the basics, you can join these sessions. We dissect the game, working on advanced sweeps, complex guard passing, and ADCC-style strategies.
A Practical Note
We are an industrial-style training space in Sadashiva Nagar. We prioritize quality mats and coaching over air-conditioned comfort. Expect a high-energy environment where you will sweat, work hard, and push your limits. If you are unsure which batch fits your experience level, drop us a message before you come in so we can point you to the right class.
Institute of Jiu-Jitsu
We built this place to be different from the commercial fitness gyms. Here, you are not just a membership number; you are someone we know by name, pushing through the same drills alongside everyone else on the mat.
