Aerial Yoga: Build Strength and Find Your Flow
Using suspended hammocks to build core strength and flexibility. Whether you are a beginner or looking to deepen your practice, our Indiranagar studio offers a safe, judgment-free space to fly.
In our aerial yoga classes, we focus on understanding the body's axis and relationship with the hammock. Here, students learn foundational movements that build trust and control, allowing them to spin, hang, and flow with confidence.
This video highlights the key benefits of aerial yoga: improving flow, posture, and stability. You can see how the hammock supports the body, allowing for deeper stretches and a greater range of motion, all leading to a feeling of happiness and accomplishment.
Our aerial yoga course is a journey into flexibility, conditioning, and strengthening. From graceful splits in the air to powerful core exercises and inversions, each movement is designed to build a strong and resilient body.
This graphic explains our approach to aerial yoga. I see it as a unique program that empowers you to develop an independent practice, using hatha asanas on the hammock to realign your mind and body.
The joy of mastering a new move in aerial yoga is unmatched. This video captures students supporting one another as they learn to balance, hang, and pose in the hammocks, celebrating each other's progress.
Our aerial yoga workshops offer a focused environment to explore the benefits of the practice. This clip shows how it enhances strength, relieves stress, and improves focus, all within a supportive and fun class setting.
About this collection
We keep our aerial sessions small, with roughly 10-15 students per class, to ensure our instructors can provide the individual attention you need to safely explore inversions. It’s not just about the pose; we focus on how the hammock can support you to build core strength and mobility, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to advance your practice.
Our Approach to Aerial
At Flux, aerial yoga is about more than just hanging from the ceiling. We treat the hammock as a supportive tool—an extension of your body that helps you explore range of motion you might not access on a mat. Our classes in Indiranagar blend Hatha asanas, Pilates principles, and dance-based flow to help you decompress your spine and build functional core strength.
What to Expect in Class
- Safety First: We use professional aerial silks and safety rigging in a climate-controlled studio with wooden flooring. Our instructors are trained to help you manage the hammock, especially if you are new to inversions.
- Small Batches: Because we cap class sizes, you get real-time corrections. You aren't just another body in the room; we make sure your form is solid so you don't strain your back or shoulders.
- Beyond Flexibility: While you will definitely improve your flexibility, the focus is on stability and 'flow.' We move through transitions that require you to engage your core, making this a legitimate full-body workout that feels more like play than gym training.
Who is this for?
Whether you are a dancer looking to cross-train, someone recovering from a sedentary work week, or a complete beginner, our space is built for you. We don't care about how 'flexible' you are when you walk in. We care about the progress you make over the weeks, the connections you build with the group, and the confidence you gain as you master those first few holds. If you’ve never been in a hammock before, we’ll start slow with basic conditioning and trust-building exercises.
Flux School of Arts
At Flux, we created a space where you can show up exactly as you are—no pretension, just practice. Our aerial classes aren't about perfecting a pose; they're about helping you find strength in your core and ease in your movement, whether you're hanging upside down or finding your balance on the floor.
