My Fitness Journey and Coaching Certifications
Fitness for me isn't just a job; it is a 23-year journey from state-level competitive lifting to mastering ancient Indian movement arts.
This photo takes me back 23 years. This was when I won the best lifter award in the state championship at both the sub-junior and junior levels. This is where my passion for strength training began.
I am proud to have received my Indian Club and Mace Instructor Certification from Tagda Raho. This certification was a dream come true and helps me teach these traditional arts with proper technique.
This is my participation certificate from a one-day Silambam training camp organized by the Silambam Association of Palakkad. I believe in constantly learning and adding new skills to my coaching.
About My Story & Certifications
These certificates aren't just wall decor. They are proof of the specific, functional techniques I use to fix your desk-job stiffness and mobility issues. When I talk about Indian Club training or ACL recovery, it is because I have spent the time getting certified to teach it safely, backing up 23 years of my own lifting experience.
My path to fitness started decades ago under a barbell. I was a sub-junior and junior state-level lifter, and that competitive fire never really left. But as the years went by, I realised that lifting heavy is only half the battle. If your joints aren't mobile, if your posture is locked from sitting in an office chair all day, all that raw strength doesn't mean much.
That is why I pivoted. I started looking back at our own roots—the Mugdar, the Gada, the Karlakattai, and Silambam. These aren't just old-school exercises; they are tools for long-term health. I pursued formal certifications, like my training with Tagda Raho, because I wanted to bridge the gap between ancient warrior movements and modern physical therapy.
I don't believe in one-size-fits-all programming. Whether you are dealing with a frozen shoulder, recovering from an ACL injury, or just want to regain the movement you had ten years ago, my approach is grounded in these combined skill sets. You will find me either in Bangalore or back home in Kerala, but the philosophy remains the same: steady, incremental progress that respects your body’s history. If you are curious about how these traditional flows can fit into your busy schedule, let's talk about where your mobility stands today.
