ITF Taekwondo Training and Technique in Najafgarh
We believe in discipline and hard work. From footwork drills to mastering complex patterns, this is where you build the foundation for your Taekwondo journey.
"Stretch higher... Your hands should be straight." This video shows a typical warm up and conditioning session where I guide a large class through essential stretches with precise instructions.
Good sparring starts with good footwork. Here, our students are practicing basic footwork drills, which are essential for movement, balance, and positioning in a fight.
This is a partner drill for practicing blocks and counter attacks. We use pads to allow students to practice with power while maintaining safety and control.
This video demonstrates a self defense scenario against two opponents. Our training goes beyond sport to include practical techniques for real life personal protection.
Flexibility is key in Taekwondo for high kicks and injury prevention. We work on conditioning and stretching with all our students, no matter their age.
About Training & Technique
When I tell a student to keep their hands straight, it is not just a suggestion. It is how you build the balance and speed needed for real sparring. We do not rush the basics here because sloppy form today leads to bad habits tomorrow.
Our Approach to ITF Taekwondo
At Delhi Tigers, we follow the International Taekwondo Federation (ITF) syllabus strictly. This is not just about learning kicks; it is about mastering the physics of movement. Whether you are prepping for a national championship or training for self-defense, the approach remains the same: technique first.
Our floor in Najafgarh is set up for serious work. We use EVA foam mats to ensure impact safety, but you should come prepared to sweat. We break down complex patterns (Tul) into manageable steps and focus heavily on sparring (Matsogi) footwork. You will learn to control distance and timing, which are the real secrets to winning in the ring.
Earning Your Progress
Every student is pushed to earn their next belt. We do not hand out promotions; you must demonstrate your knowledge of theory and practical ability during our formal belt exams. If you are a beginner, we start with flexibility and basic conditioning. If you are advanced, we focus on ring management and competition strategy. It is about steady progress—every day, we get a little sharper.
Our training includes:
- Real World Defense: Drills designed for practical situations.
- Conditioning: Stretching and flexibility work to prepare your body for high kicks.
- Sparring Drills: Controlled contact to teach you how to move against an opponent.
