Functional Pilates training for everyday strength
Real fitness is not about the number on the scale. It is about building a body that moves without pain, supports you through the years, and keeps you feeling independent. Here is a look at how my tribe trains.
This video shares the core principles I want every client to understand. It’s not about fancy moves, but about mastering the basics, listening to your body, and celebrating every bit of progress. This is a glimpse into my teaching philosophy on the Reformer, focusing on functional strength and mindful movement.
The energy in our group mat classes is incredible. This video captures my Pilates tribe moving together, finding strength and resilience. Every class is a mixed-ability session, where I provide personalized guidance to ensure everyone, from beginners to regulars, gets the most out of their practice.
Hearing stories like Joya's is why I do what I do. After multiple surgeries and trying various therapies, Pilates helped her regain mobility and strength. This is a powerful reminder that Pilates is a journey of healing and empowerment, perfect for post-rehabilitation and managing physical challenges.
This is what a personal coaching moment looks like on the Reformer. My focus is always on precise form and control, as you can hear me guiding my client. It's this attention to detail that prevents injury, builds deep core strength, and ensures you feel every movement correctly.
This is my Pilates gang. We are a community of strong women who show up for ourselves and each other. We work hard, we laugh, and we celebrate our fitness journey together. This is more than a class; it's a tribe.
I believe in lifelong learning to bring the best to my clients. This certification in Apparatus Pilates from the renowned Michael King Pilates Institute is a testament to my commitment to deepening my expertise in using equipment like the Reformer, Cadillac, and Wunda Chair for effective training.
In this clip from a talk I gave, I explain my core belief in functional fitness. My goal is to help you build strength for everyday life, so you can stay physically independent and active for years to come. It’s about quality of life, not just a number on a scale.
About this collection
In my classes, I don't care if you have never touched a mat or if you are currently recovering from an injury—we start exactly where you are. I focus on precise form and spinal mobility rather than high-intensity movement, so whether you join me at The Whitefield Club or online, you will walk away feeling stronger and more aware of your posture, not just exhausted.
My Approach to Fitness
I believe fitness should be about life, not just gym goals. My training philosophy centers on functional fitness—moving in ways that translate to your daily life, like picking up your kids, sitting on the floor comfortably, or simply walking without back stiffness. Whether we are doing Mat Pilates or working on the Reformer, the goal is always the same: to build a core that supports you for the long run.
How We Train
- Mat Pilates: Perfect for building community and strength using props like rings and bands. These are mixed-ability sessions, so you will find beginners and regulars moving together.
- Reformer & Apparatus: For those needing specific resistance, better alignment, or injury recovery. The Reformer is a game-changer for precise muscle conditioning.
- Personalized Rehab: If you are dealing with specific issues like TKR (Total Knee Replacement), back pain, or postural imbalances, I offer 1:1 clinical sessions to tailor the movement to your body's unique needs.
Why Join My Tribe?
This is not a space for competition. We are a supportive community where every small win counts. I know the struggles because I keep it real—I am a wife, a mom, and a coach who is constantly learning. We work hard, we correct our form, and yes, sometimes we make a reel to celebrate. If you are looking for a sustainable fitness habit that prioritizes your health over aesthetics, you have found your place.
