Gentle Family Yoga and Mindful Movement
Yoga is more than just poses. It is a way to connect, play, and grow. Whether you are here to share the mat with a loved one or simply seeking a practice that feels like home, this is a space to slow down and find balance.
My son often joins my practice, adding his own playful energy. Here, he helps me find a deeper backbend in wheel pose, turning a challenging asana into a moment of connection and joy.
My first hero. Here I am assisting my son with a gentle backbend. Teaching him the foundations of movement and breath is one of the greatest joys of my life.
About A Family Practice
You will notice that we do not rush the process here. My sessions are kept to small groups of 5 to 12 people at my studios in Horamavu and Koramangala, which allows me to personally check your form and ensure you are moving safely. It is not about nailing the perfect pose, but about paying attention to what feels right for your body today.
My approach is built on the belief that yoga is a lifelong journey. We do not chase perfection. Instead, we focus on consistent, steady progress. In these group classes, I combine Hatha and Vinyasa techniques to help you build strength, flexibility, and a calmer mind.
Why this practice fits you
- Small Batches: By limiting classes to 12 people, I can offer the hands-on guidance you need to avoid injury and correct your alignment. This is especially helpful if you are working on arm balances or inversions.
- Inclusive Environment: Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to deepen your practice, we grow together. My sessions include pranayama (breathwork) and occasional sound healing with Tibetan singing bowls to ensure you leave feeling centered.
- Personal Connection: Having my son, Yugan, join me on the mat reminds me that yoga is a practice to be shared. It is about bringing family, peace, and discipline into your daily life.
I conduct these sessions at two main locations in Bangalore: Nrityog movement arts space in Horamavu and LshVa in Koramangala. If you are looking for a space to breathe, move, and reconnect with yourself, I would be honored to guide you.
Daya Nanthan
People see me as a yoga teacher or the guy with the karate black belt, but first and foremost, I am just a dad. My son, Yugan, keeps me on my toes and reminds me every day that the practice is about the journey, not the destination. I teach to share the peace I have found, keeping things real and grounded for anyone who walks in.
