Running is a simple sport, but the journey to the start line involves consistent preparation, science, and the right gear. Here is a look at the everyday reality of training.

Running is a minimalist sport, and runners are simple creatures. Except when there's a new shoe release, then all bets are off. Happy weekend, shoe addicts.

Runners aren't greedy, except when it comes to shoes. Even if it's the fourth pair in as many months, we're always excited to unbox and show them off.

The Bangalore rains are not allowing me to break in my new Hyperion Elite 3 shoes. So, a recovery run on the treadmill it is.

Kahani me twist. I am always trying to make workouts more fun and challenging for my runners by developing new routines. This one should be ready for next season.

A runner achieving a target is a moment to cherish for a coach! First, achieved a Back to back 72k Khardunga La Challenge & Ladakh Marathon! Great determination by @sridhar.reddy.m to complete some really hard workouts, where I dread the hardships he will have to go through. Second @sumitharajesh is the FM winner, but I am happy to see the way she executed the strategy! And last but not the list all my 52 Ladakh Warriors! Who went through about 5 months of preparation for this Gruelling event and executed the plans to successfully complete their respective events.

About this collection

I spend as much time testing footwear and analyzing gait as I do on the track. Whether it's dealing with Bengaluru's unpredictable rains by moving to the treadmill or evaluating new shoes to ensure they support your specific strike pattern, it is all part of the process. You do not just need a coach. You need someone who understands the nuances of injury prevention and equipment choice to keep you safe on the road.

The photos you see here are more than just snapshots. They represent the reality of training. Some days, it is unboxing a fresh pair of shoes to test if they truly offer the support needed for long-distance runs. Other days, it is adapting to the weather. If it rains in Bengaluru, we shift to the treadmill to maintain consistency rather than skipping the workout.

My coaching philosophy is simple, yet rooted in science. We look at every detail: your cadence, your heart rate zones, your strength training, and your mobility work.

Why the right approach matters

Running is repetitive. If your form is off or your gear is not right for your foot type, injuries like shin splints or runner's knee happen quickly. My job is to ensure you run with efficient technique so you can reach your 10K, half-marathon, or ultra goals without getting sidelined.

The community aspect

We call our group a 'Jatre'. Running is a sport you do alone, but you get better when you do it together. Whether you are training with us at our Jayanagar center, our Pune locations, or training remotely via the Onca Run app, you are part of a network that celebrates every small win.
