We create spaces that feel as though they have grown from the land. From coastal villas in Alibaug to mountain retreats in the Himalayas, our work is defined by natural materials and a deep, hands-on building process.

We believe a home should feel like it has grown from the land itself. For Villa Uma in Alibaug, we designed a collection of simple forms around an introverted garden and a linear pool, creating a tranquil sanctuary that responds to the picturesque views of the distant Kankeshwar hills.

Our work in the Himalayas involves creating architecture that respects the scale and spirit of the mountains. These guesthouses in Panchachuli are built with local stone and topped with traditional thatch roofs, designed to offer serene refuge with staggering views of the snow-capped peaks.

The line between inside and outside is intentionally blurred in our designs. At Villa Uma, we used deep, earthy red plaster walls and large openings to connect the dining space with the surrounding landscape, creating an atmosphere that is both elegant and deeply relaxing.

We see landscape not as a backdrop, but as an integral part of the home. At Villa Toshi in Alibaug, years of collaboration resulted in a recalibrated building where rooftop gardens and lush greenery cascade down the structure, merging the home with the expansive view.

Every location offers a unique dialogue. In Zanzibar, our design for Kizikula frames the vibrant tropical landscape and the turquoise ocean. The architecture uses local materials and open-air passages to capture the sea breeze, creating a home that truly breathes with its environment.

We don't just draw plans; we build them. This full-scale wooden model of a staircase, constructed on-site, allows us to study the proportions, materials, and feel of a design in a way that drawings cannot. It is a critical part of our hands-on process.

The texture and color of a home are born from a process of exploration. We work hands-on with artisans to develop custom plaster finishes, mixing locally sourced pigments, minerals, and oxides to create surfaces that are unique to each project and its environment.

Building in remote locations like the Himalayas is a collaborative effort. It requires the combined skill and dedication of our design team and a diverse group of local artisans and craftspeople, all working together on-site to bring a shared vision to life.

About Featured

We do not rely solely on digital models. We build full-scale mock-ups directly on the site for critical elements like staircases and masonry junctions, which allows us to verify proportions and material feel in the actual light of the location before the final build.

At our core, we believe that a building should be a dialogue between the structure and its surroundings. Whether we are designing a private villa, a boutique hotel, or a secluded home, our approach begins by walking the land, listening to its topography, and letting the landscape guide the orientation of the structure.

Materiality is our language. We use local stone, wood, and hand-mixed lime or mud plasters, sourcing everything as close to the site as possible to keep the carbon footprint low. This commitment to local sourcing does more than just help the environment; it ensures that the building feels authentic to its specific geography, whether we are using basalt in the Konkan or timber in the Himalayas.

Architecture is a collaborative act. We are a collective of architects, artists, and skilled craftspeople who thrive on site visits. We spend days working alongside masons and carpenters, refining details to ensure the final finish is exactly as intended. This means our projects grow slowly, sometimes influenced by the seasons, but the result is a home that feels lived-in, honest, and truly connected to the people who inhabit it. We find that the most successful spaces are those that accept the wildness of nature, allowing gardens to spill into living areas and materials to weather gracefully over time.
