About Boutique Hospitality Design
We design for more than just looks - our goal is to make spaces that feel special and connected to their surroundings. Whether it's a mountain lodge deep in Kumaon or a moody bar in Mumbai, I always start by just being on the site and soaking in the vibe. That way, each place gets its own story.
What I Do
- Create experiential hospitality spaces that invite guests to slow down and really be present.
- In the Himalayas, I worked with local stone and reclaimed deodar wood, carefully stacking walls to handle snow and let the place blend in with the hills. Solar power, forest spas, yoga decks - all with those crazy mountain views.
- In the city, it's a different kind of drama. For a Latin American restaurant, I went all in with deep greens, custom brass fixtures, and a hand-carved entrance. Every detail matters, from the way the light hits the walls to the feel of a stone sink.
How I Work
- Hands-on. I build full-scale mock-ups, get my hands dirty with materials, and work with local craftspeople.
- I value using locally sourced design elements, whether that's stone from a nearby quarry or wood rescued from old buildings.
- Always thinking about sustainability - passive cooling, natural light, and low-impact materials are part of the process.
Collaboration Matters
No project is solo. I work closely with everyone - hotel owners, chefs, carpenters, whoever it takes to bring a space to life. The conversations and the teamwork are as important as the final look.

My Story
We’re Case Design, a Mumbai studio but honestly, our ideas wander far. One week we’re in Michigan by a lake, next we’re soaking up wisdom at Nakashima’s workshop. We’re big on learning - mud walls, timber joinery, whatever’s new, we’re up for it. Our hearts? Right here, building futures, like with Avasara Academy in Pune. For us, architecture’s about people, places, and purpose, not just pretty buildings.
My Work
What we do - We design homes, villas, boutique hotels, spas, restaurants, and handle everything from bespoke landscape design to custom furniture.
How we work - We’re hands-on, always on site, building mock-ups, getting our hands muddy. Projects grow slowly, sometimes monsoon slows us, but we keep at it.
Craft and materials - We use natural materials—stone, wood, mud, lime. Love working with local craftsmen, because details make the design.
Nature and connection - We want our spaces, like custom villa architecture or a retreat in the hills, to feel part of their surroundings.
Teamwork - We’re a bunch of architects, designers, artists, artisans—collaboration is our thing.
