Press Features and Architectural Awards
A collection of recent articles, industry recognitions, and features that highlight our commitment to site-specific, sustainable architecture.
We are honored to be included in the Architectural Digest AD100 list for 2025. We are deeply grateful to our entire team, our collaborators, and to AD India for their continued support and recognition of our practice.
It is a privilege to receive an ID Honours award for Residential Interiors in 2025. We congratulate all the other winners and thank India Design ID for recognizing our commitment to creating homes that are both elegant and functional.
We were thrilled to see our Shakti Prana and Shakti Panchachuli projects featured in The Australian's travel and luxury supplement. The article beautifully captures the spirit of these remote Himalayan lodges.

This image of our Himalayan guesthouses was featured in a story about the new chapter of Shakti Himalaya. Our design for these architectural lodges was noted for its use of reclaimed materials and its serene, off-grid location.
Our Avasara Academy project was featured in this Ecogradia episode on net-zero energy buildings. The video highlights our use of passive design strategies, like earth tube cooling, to create a sustainable and low-cost learning environment.
Our Villa Uma project was featured by Avontuura, a platform for must-see architecture. The feature highlighted how the home is carefully placed and oriented in response to the picturesque views of the Alibaug landscape.
The Architect's Diary featured our Villa Uma project, noting its effortless connection to nature. This image of the dining area opening to the garden was used to illustrate the seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces.
A shot of the entrance to Villa Uma, featured in The Architect's Diary. The publication described the villa as a "scattered collection of simple forms" that create a story of stillness and light.
About In The Press & Acclaim
We view these accolades and press features as milestones in our ongoing practice rather than final destinations. They reflect the conversations we have on-site every day—about the weight of a stone, the orientation of a window, and the patient process of working with local craftsmen to build something that feels inherent to its site.
Our work is often recognized for its technical depth and commitment to sustainability rather than just its aesthetic. When platforms like Ecogradia feature the Avasara Academy, they highlight the passive cooling systems and thermodynamic principles we utilized to address the harsh local climate without relying on energy-intensive technology. This approach of prioritizing passive strategy over mechanical solutions is a constant in our practice.
Similarly, features in The Architect's Diary regarding Villa Uma in Alibaug focus on the spatial planning and the connection between the indoor areas and the surrounding landscape. The coverage emphasizes how we create a sense of stillness and light through the use of pigmented plaster, simple structural forms, and open layouts.
We are particularly honored by the recognition from AD100 and India Design ID in 2025. These acknowledgments validate our reliance on hands-on methods, such as building full-scale site mock-ups to test details before construction begins. Whether it is a luxury retreat in the Himalayas or a residential project in Maharashtra, our goal remains the same: to design structures that are built with integrity, respect for the environment, and a deep understanding of the people who will inhabit them.
