The Real Reel: Progress & Play
Welcome to the unpolished side of flow arts. Here, I share the messy learning, the funny 'Flowmedy' skits, and the real-life progress that happens between the perfect shots.

About The Real Reel: Progress & Play
Don't stress about looking perfect. In my sessions, we actually embrace the drops, the fumbles, and the awkward learning phase because that is where the real growth happens. Whether it is staff basics or mindful movement, we laugh, reset, and keep going—no judgment attached.
The truth is, flow arts started in a pretty low spot for me in 2022. I grabbed a stick because my mind was messy and I just needed to move. It was never about being a pro or performing at festivals; it was about finding a language for my body when I couldn't find the words.
Why 'Flowmedy'?
I post the bloopers and the clumsy moments because I want you to know that everyone—even the performers you see spinning fire—started by dropping their prop a hundred times. We call this 'Flowmedy' (Flow + Comedy). It is my way of reminding you that progress is the new perfection. If you can laugh while you learn, you are already halfway there.
What to Expect
Whether you are joining me for in-person sessions at Cubbon Park or a partner studio in Bangalore, expect a space that prioritizes how you feel over how you look.
- Staff Spinning: We break down grips, planes, and figure-8s until it feels like an extension of your own arms.
- Mindful Movement: We mix in breathwork and somatic healing to help you reconnect with your body.
- Twerkout: High-energy dance cardio to shake off the morning blues.
You do not need to be 'fit' or 'flexible' to start. You just need to show up. Bring your curiosity, and let’s move.
Ayesha
I'm Ayesha. I started spinning a staff when I needed to ground myself, and now I help others find that same freedom. We aren't here to be perfect; we're here to laugh, move, and get a little weird with it.
