Capoeira Acrobatics and Skill Building for Kids
We build strength and confidence through the art of play. Our safe, mat-assisted sessions help children master cartwheels, handstands, and coordination in a supportive tribe.
Watch our young students practice fundamental Capoeira acrobatics. This clip shows a child working on a handstand and a bridge, key exercises for developing strength and flexibility.
An instructor guides a group of young children as they practice handstands against the wall. We use fun, game-based exercises to make learning new skills exciting.
Our classes incorporate creative drills to improve balance and agility. Here, kids practice movements using props like poles and blocks, and build upper body strength with wall-assisted handstands.
Safety is our priority. This clip shows kids practicing handstands against padded walls and learning basic kicks with a strike shield held by an instructor, ensuring a secure learning environment.
An older student practices an advanced cartwheel variation in our studio. We encourage continuous improvement, helping kids progress at their own pace.
Capoeira is a full-body workout that develops balance, coordination, and flexibility. This video shows a student demonstrating impressive acrobatic skills learned in our class.
Even at home, the practice continues. A young student shows off his agility by dodging a pool noodle, a fun game that improves reflexes and body awareness.
A student practices an 'au', or Capoeira cartwheel, through a hoop. We use creative challenges like this to make training dynamic and engaging.
An instructor provides one-on-one support, helping students of different ages practice their form for backbends and bridges on a thick safety mat.
Our after-school program focuses on empowering kids through movement. Here, students practice partner stretches and assisted handstands in a spacious, sunlit room.
About Acrobatics & Skill Building
Don’t worry about the acrobatics label, we don't force rigid drills here. In our Bangalore and Mumbai classes, we use animal walks, wall-assisted handstands, and soft mats to build strength gradually. Every movement is a game designed to make your child feel brave and capable without the pressure of typical gym classes.
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian art form, but for kids, it is simply the art of play. We focus on building body awareness and functional strength, moving away from repetitive, boring drills.
In our sessions at venues like Dhurii Academy in Domlur or our studios in Mumbai, we break down movements into the 'Ginga' (our fundamental sway) and 'au' (cartwheel). We introduce these to children through games, ensuring they build confidence without the intimidation of a formal gymnastics class. We use high-quality mats and provide plenty of spot-assistance, maintaining a 1:12 instructor ratio to prioritize safety while they attempt their first handstands.
It is not just about the acrobatics. We integrate rhythm and music to help children develop coordination. By the time they complete our 8-class progression modules, they aren't just stronger; they are more comfortable with their bodies. Whether they are learning to dodge with 'Cocourinha' or playing rhythm on a Pandeiro, they are part of a community. If you are looking for an after-school program that fosters social confidence alongside physical capability, this is it.
