About Workshops & Special Events
If you are looking to fast-track your progress or just want a full dose of the culture, our workshops are the way to go. We pack these sessions with focused skill-building, like intensive handstand mechanics or mastering the berimbau, and always wrap up with a community Roda where the energy is just different. It is the best way to get a real feel for the movement and music if you cannot commit to a long-term course.
Beyond the Weekly Schedule
Think of our workshops as a crash course in Brazilian culture. While our regular classes focus on steady, step-by-step progress, these intensive sessions are designed to push boundaries. We run these events across Bangalore and Mumbai, collaborating with spaces like Namma Nook and Flux to create an environment where you can completely switch off from the daily grind and tap into that Axé (energy).
What to Expect
- The Batizado Festival: This is our biggest event of the year. It is not just a demo, it is a multi-day ceremony where students earn their belts (cordões) in the Roda. It involves guest instructors, intensive training, and a lot of music.
- Summer Camps for Kids: We take our 'art of play' philosophy and give it structure. Kids are not just learning cartwheels, they are playing the pandeiro, singing in Portuguese, and building a sense of team discipline that sticks. It is about movement and acrobatics, but mostly about confidence.
- Skill-Specific Intensives: We often host weekend bootcamps focusing entirely on one element, like handstand mechanics or rhythm patterns on the berimbau. These are perfect if you want to level up quickly without waiting for the next semester.
Whether you are looking for a one-off weekend introduction or a full, deep-dive festival experience, these events are where our tribe really comes together. It is loud, it is sweaty, and it is always fun.
