About Kids' Foundation Skills (Ages 5-12)
We don’t just watch; we spot. Your child will work on forward rolls, cartwheels, and handstands on high-density mats while we are right there to guide them through every move. We break complex motions into small, manageable steps so fear never gets in the way of progress. If you are looking for a place where your child builds actual skills, not just spends time, this is where it happens.
At Fly High Academy, we believe gymnastics is a skill for life. Our kids' foundation program for ages 5 to 12 is designed to build core strength, coordination, and confidence from the ground up. Whether your child is a complete beginner or looking to improve, our approach is all about safety and steady growth.
Why Our Approach Works
- Hands-on Spotting: Safety is our baseline. Using vinyl-covered crash pads and manual spotting techniques, we ensure your child feels secure while attempting new moves like back walkovers or handstands. You won't find us just standing in the corner.
- The 'Hogli Hogli' Mindset: We encourage kids to let go of fear. Whether it is a simple cartwheel or a complex roll variation, we push them to try with force and focus. This confidence carries over into everything they do outside our gym.
- Small Steps to Big Wins: We focus on foundational mechanics. A perfect handstand isn't just about holding still; it is about core control. We use wall drills and partner work to build that strength before moving to more complex tumbling passes.
Our Facility
Classes take place at our Banashankari and RR Nagar locations. Our gym is a high-ceiling warehouse setup equipped with high-density EVA interlocking mats, vaulting blocks, and incline mats. While we don't have an Olympic sprung floor, our setup is built specifically for skill progression and safe landing drills. We run batches Monday to Friday, keeping group sizes managed so every student gets the attention they need to improve their form. If you want your child to stop watching and start doing, bring them in for a trial.
