I believe that true healing goes beyond masking symptoms. My practice integrates clinical physiotherapy with mindful movement to address the root cause of your pain, whether it is physical, emotional, or stress-related.

These are the principles of health and medicine that I live by and that form the foundation of my practice. My approach is built on a deep respect for the body's complexity and its capacity for healing.

Principle 1: The body heals itself. My role as a physiotherapist is to support and guide this innate process with targeted interventions, not to override it with aggressive or unnecessary treatments.

Principle 2: Treat the whole person. Health is more than just the absence of disease. I consider your complete physical, mental, and spiritual well being to create a truly holistic recovery plan.

Principle 3: Prevention is just as important as treatment. I empower you with knowledge about movement, sleep, nutrition, and stress management to not only heal current ailments but also prevent future ones.

Principle 4: The practitioner patient relationship is vital. I listen deeply and encourage your active participation. Your healing is a collaborative journey that we embark on together.

Principle 5: Nutrition is foundational. What you eat directly impacts your body's ability to heal and function. You are in complete control of this powerful aspect of your health.

This video demonstrates a deep, mindful breathing exercise. Correct breathing regulates the nervous system, enhances blood circulation, and can even help manage gut issues and emotional distress.

About this collection

When you first consult with me, we do not jump straight into exercise. We begin with a 60-minute diagnostic session to understand your full medical history, obstetric background, and postural habits. Whether you are dealing with sciatica, pelvic pain, or chronic stiffness, I assess how your fascia, stress levels, and breathing patterns are contributing to your discomfort. You leave that first session not just with a diagnosis, but with an understanding of why your pain exists and a roadmap to address it, rather than just suppress it.

Treating the Whole Person

My philosophy is rooted in the belief that the body and mind are a two-way street. Stress, old emotions, and trauma often manifest physically, which is why my approach blends clinical physiotherapy with functional Pilates and nutrition. If we only treat the physical symptoms, the pain often returns because the underlying stressor remains.

My Core Modalities

  • Visceral Manipulation: I use this gentle, hands-on therapy to release restrictions in the connective tissues surrounding your internal organs. This is highly effective for issues like abdominal pain, C-section scar adhesions, and digestive dysfunction.
  • Clinical Pilates: Unlike standard gym classes, these sessions are tailored by a physiotherapist. We use the Reformer, Cadillac, and Wunda Chair to strengthen your deep stabilizers—specifically the Transverse Abdominis and pelvic floor—without overloading the nervous system.
  • Breathwork and Nervous System Regulation: Many clients come to me in 'fight or flight' mode. I teach diaphragmatic breathing not just to improve oxygen intake, but to down-regulate the nervous system, which helps manage conditions ranging from pelvic floor tension to anxiety.

Evidence-Based Recovery

My practice in Vidyaranyapura focuses on long-term outcomes. We look at biomechanics and lifestyle factors. If you are a new mother dealing with diastasis recti, we don't just 'close the gap'; we retrain your core to function safely in daily life. If you have chronic joint pain, we analyze your gait and spine alignment to see where the compensation patterns started.

My goal is to give you the tools to manage your own health. You are not just a patient; you are an active participant in your recovery journey.

I’m Dr. Bhavana. After completing my Masters in the UK, I founded this studio because I saw too many patients getting temporary relief while their root issues remained untouched. I combine clinical physio with Flow Pilates and functional nutrition to help you heal deep, not just patch up.
