The energy of practicing together outdoors is truly special. Here I am guiding a wonderful group through a morning session by the lake. I provide hands on adjustments to ensure everyone feels supported, whether they are a beginner or an experienced yogi.
Tackling challenging poses like the headstand requires trust and careful guidance. In my personal and small group sessions, I provide direct, hands on support to help you build the strength and confidence to safely explore inversions and advance your practice.
My classes often end with a moment of quiet connection. Here, one of my talented students fills the room with a mesmerizing bhajan. It is in these moments of shared peace and spiritual song that our community truly comes together.
About Guided Practice: Group & Personal Sessions
In my group sessions in Hulimavu, I cap batch sizes at ten students. This is not just a limit, it is so I can walk around and provide manual form corrections, ensuring you are safe while you challenge yourself. For 1-on-1 sessions, we use wall ropes and bolsters to support injury recovery or advanced inversions, tailored entirely to what your body needs that day.
Yoga is not about showing off flexibility; it is about finding peace and letting go of stress. My practice is built on the belief that jo ho achha—whatever happens, it is for the good.
My Approach to Practice
Whether we are working through Hatha stability or Vinyasa flow, my goal is to meet you where you are. My group sessions focus on community, Pranayama, and Shatkarma techniques like Jalneti, creating a supportive environment where everyone feels welcome.
For those seeking specific outcomes, I design therapeutic yoga routines to help manage conditions like knee pain, arthritis, cervical spondylitis, and PCOS. We do not rush; we work with what your body tells us. Sometimes that means gentle restorative movements for seniors, and other times it involves assisted stretching to help you explore postures safely.
What You Can Expect
- Small Batches: Limited to 8-10 students in Hulimavu, so you get individual attention.
- Hands-on Guidance: I actively help with alignment using blocks and straps, ensuring your practice is effective.
- Holistic Ending: We often close with Savasana, meditation, and occasionally soulful bhajans to calm the mind.
- Personalization: If you prefer private instruction, I offer home visits within 7km of Hulimavu, bringing the practice to your living room or garden.
