Yoga Philosophy and Motivation for Your Daily Journey
Yoga is more than just poses; it's a way to find freedom and stay grounded. Here are the reminders and affirmations that keep me and my students moving forward.
Always remember the power you hold within you. This flow is a moving meditation on self love and recognizing your own worth. Don't be so hard on yourself; you are doing the best you can.
Believe in yourself. This is the foundation of everything. In this gentle morning flow, I am reminded that when you know there is something inside you greater than any obstacle, the world will believe in you too.
This is my personal invitation for you to dive into yoga with me. Let's move through empowering poses together, from a gentle Cat Cow to a deep Camel Pose, and find serenity on the mat. Join the journey.
About My Yoga Philosophy & Motivation
I don't believe in just pushing for a 'perfect' pose. In my sessions, we focus on sukshma vyayama (joint exercises) and mindful breathing before even attempting deeper work. Whether you are working through chronic pain or just looking to quiet your mind, we listen to what your body tells us each day, and that is where the real healing starts.
Yoga is never just about stretching—it is a way to stop fighting with yourself. I see so many students come to my Hulimavu studio or home visits thinking they need to be flexible to start. That is a myth. Whether we are doing Shatkarma (cleansing) like Jalneti, or just focusing on Pranayama to settle an anxious mind, we start exactly where you are.
My approach is built on acceptance. If you are dealing with PCOS, cervical spondylitis, or knee pain, we don't force advanced asanas. We use props like bolsters, blocks, and wall ropes to support your body while it heals. For me, the most important part of any session—be it a one-on-one private class or a small group batch—is the mental shift. As I often tell my students, Jo ho achha (whatever happens, it is for the good).
Life is full of unpredictable moments, but on the mat, you have control over your breath and your reactions. If you are looking for a practice that fits your life, or if you need someone to help you navigate chronic pain with patience, I am here to guide you.
