The dining area is now seamlessly connected to the living room, with large windows that look out onto the lush garden. The simple wooden dining table is complemented by contemporary lighting fixtures.
The foyer was redesigned to be a welcoming threshold. The bench and storage unit were crafted from the house's old teak doors, an example of our commitment to upcycling and preserving the history of a space.
A quiet reading corner in the living room. By increasing the size of the windows, we created bright, pleasant nooks throughout the home, perfect for relaxation and enjoying the view of the garden.
The master bedroom, designed with a calm palette of off-white and natural wood. A full-length mirror on the wardrobe door enhances the sense of space and reflects the light from the large window.
A serene bedroom space where simplicity reigns. The combination of off-white walls, warm wood accents, and plenty of natural light creates a timeless and tranquil atmosphere for rest.
A new home office addition, designed to be a creative sanctuary. Large windows provide an inspiring view of the garden, while the wooden floor and comfortable furniture make it a productive and pleasant place to work.
The home office is filled with plants, art, and personal objects, reflecting the client's excellent eye for accessorizing. The space is a testament to how a well-designed room can support both work and well-being.

About Residential Renovations & Additions
When we approach a renovation, we begin by identifying what can be salvaged rather than discarded. In the projects shown, we carefully dismantled 80s-era wooden windows and storage units, repurposing that seasoned teak into custom seating and shelving. This commitment to material honesty ensures that your new home retains the warmth of its history while gaining the efficiency of modern, high-performance fenestration.
Our Approach to Adaptive Reuse
Renovation is not merely about aesthetic updates. It is a process of unearthing the potential hidden within existing layouts. We analyze the structural logic of the home—how it breathes, where the light enters, and how the current inhabitants move through it.
Enhancing Bioclimatic Performance
Many older homes suffer from inadequate natural light and poor ventilation due to overly restrictive window designs. We increase the opening-to-wall ratio by replacing traditional heavy shutters with sliding fenestration. This simple yet surgical intervention allows soft light to permeate deeper into the floor plate, drastically reducing the need for artificial lighting during the day.
The Logic of Upcycling
We treat the demolition phase as a harvesting phase. Old teak doors, cupboards, and beams are not sent to landfills. We remove existing layers of polish, restore the wood, and re-fabricate it into functional furniture, such as bay window seating or bookshelves. This maintains the material memory of the site while significantly lowering the carbon footprint of your renovation.
Creating Social Thresholds
In our terrace and addition projects, we emphasize the blur between inside and outside. By utilizing skylights and louvered doors, we create transitional zones that serve multiple purposes—from yoga spaces to evening gathering spots. This ensures that the added area is not just square footage, but a flexible, climate-responsive environment that expands the usable life of your home.
