About Landscape Architecture
How I See Landscape Architecture
I don’t treat landscapes like decoration. For me, they’re living companions to buildings, shaping how people and nature interact. I’m always looking for ways to blend built spaces with the natural world, so the result feels like it truly belongs.
Built Habitats, Not Just Gardens
I design for biodiversity, not just looks. My spaces invite birds, butterflies, and even the odd frog or two. You’ll see native plant landscaping everywhere - I stick to local species because they thrive and support wildlife. I avoid heavy construction and let the softscape take over, so the place feels alive, not manicured.
- Butterfly gardens, buffer zones, and fragrant courts
- Spaces for pollinators, birds, reptiles, amphibians
- Minimal hard lines, more green
Water Is Everything
I think of the land as a ‘living sponge’. Bioswale design is a big part of my work - those green channels help clean runoff and recharge groundwater. I set up rainwater harvesting systems so water gets reused or sent back to the earth. Even a boring old nala can become a bioswale or pond if you know what you’re doing.
Every Site Is Unique
I study the terrain, soil, and ecology before starting. My designs respond to what’s already there, making space for art, conversation, and everyone to move around easily. I want the landscape to be resilient and productive, where nature leads and people follow.

My Story
We’re Betweenlines because for us, the magic’s always in the gaps - between city and wild, research and making, ideas and real life. We’ve built shelters you can wear, turned annoying lantana weeds into furniture, and learned a lot from both wins and flops. Our team’s a mix of folks who love to experiment. For us, the best bit is seeing a space grow its own story with the people who use it.
My Work
What We Do - Urban design, architecture, interiors, research - from big buildings to tiny details like upcycled interior finishes.
Eco-Sensitive Architecture - We use sustainable materials, recharge water, and design with nature in mind. Think interlocking bricks, reclaimed wood.
Community Empowerment Through Design - We love projects that help people - wellness spaces, heritage revamps, solutions for street vendors.
Material Honesty - Raw, handmade, sometimes wild - like lantana weed furniture or red oxide floors. We reuse and upcycle wherever possible.
Concept-Driven Facade Design - Every project starts with a story - a weave, a carpet, something that makes the space speak.
