A curated selection of our work, where architecture becomes a dialogue between inhabitants, the environment, and material honesty.
A quiet moment in a sunlit bedroom at our Aamra residence. We design spaces that invite tranquility and connection, where natural light and views of the outdoors become integral parts of daily life. This window seat is more than a feature; it is a personal retreat.
The heart of the Aamra house, where the kitchen and dining areas converge. This open-plan space is designed for gathering, featuring a polished concrete island, upcycled wood cabinetry, and an exposed concrete ceiling, reflecting our principle of material honesty.
A detail from a contemporary kitchen, where we explored the interplay of textures. The combination of fluted glass, dramatic black marble, and warm wood creates a space that is both highly functional and visually sophisticated.
A vibrant display of lehengas at the Nalli flagship store. For this retail project, we designed custom circular racks to create a dynamic and immersive shopping experience, using color and form to tell the brand's story.
An exploration of natural textures in a custom wardrobe design. We combined louvered teak with delicate cane weave, creating a functional piece that is also a tactile and visually interesting object, celebrating traditional craft in a modern context.
A curved, built-in window seat finished in polished oxide. This architectural intervention transforms a simple bedroom window into a unique, contemplative space, demonstrating our focus on creating personalized nooks that enhance the living experience.
An open kitchen with a breakfast island, finished in a deep forest green. This design shows our ability to integrate bold color with natural wood tones and patterned tiles, creating a warm and inviting hub for family life.
The central courtyard of our "Breathe" residence, an earth house project. This space acts as the lungs of the home, with ferroconcrete fins that create a dynamic play of light and shadow while promoting natural ventilation and thermal comfort.
A glimpse into the ongoing restoration of the Collector's camp office bungalow in Nagapattinam. This video documents the transformation process, showcasing our careful approach to heritage conservation and the application of traditional finishes like red oxide.
The reception area for Momfirst, a wellness clinic. The design uses clean lines, a calm color palette, and focused lighting on the brand's logo to create a welcoming, professional, and reassuring environment for visitors.
About Featured
We do not impose a signature style. Instead, we map your daily habits to the site's potential, letting the architecture emerge from the conversation between your needs and the environment. From restoring heritage bungalows in Nagapattinam with traditional red oxide finishes to designing flexible, high-volume retail layouts for brands like Nalli, our process remains rooted in resourcefulness and a deep respect for context.
Our Design Philosophy
Architecture is not just about the final structure; it is an iterative dialogue. Whether we are building a new home or adapting an existing space, we focus on eco-sensitive, people-centric design. We work with materials in their raw state—earth, brick, wood, and stone—believing that design is most successful when it resonates with its purpose and its inhabitants.
Projects That Tell a Story
Our portfolio spans diverse typologies, unified by our commitment to sustainability and craft:
- Residential Sanctuaries: Projects like the Aamra residence showcase our focus on the 'Jagli katte' concept—a semi-open veranda that blurs the line between the interior and the mango orchard it sits within. We utilize Compressed Stabilized Earth Blocks (CSEB) and rammed earth to achieve natural thermal comfort.
- Heritage Conservation: Our ongoing restoration of the Collector's camp office bungalow in Nagapattinam demonstrates our technical approach to heritage. By applying traditional red oxide finishes and preserving colonial structures, we bridge the gap between historical character and contemporary utility.
- Retail & Wellness Spaces: For projects like the Nalli flagship store, we engineered adjustable shelving systems that allow for seamless transitions between hanging, stacking, and mannequin displays. In our work with clinics like Momfirst, we focus on appropriating existing footprints to create professional, reassuring, and functional environments.
Our Process
We are transparent about our method. Every project begins with a concept—a weave, a carpet, or a specific local material—that guides the design. We involve our team, contractors, and artisans directly, treating every constraint, such as specific Vastu requirements or material limitations, as an opportunity for creative problem-solving.
