Our Featured Architectural Projects
A look at our design philosophy in action, from urban residences to unique commercial spaces, balancing functionality with the local environment.
This is the 'Chirantana' residence, a compact 4-bedroom home where we used clever massing and a two-tone color palette to create a bold, modern facade. The lighting design highlights the architectural form, giving the home a distinct character in its urban neighborhood.
For the 'Jodi Mane' project, the staircase is more than just for circulation; it's the heart of the home. This suspended blue metallic stairway acts as a sculptural element, connecting spaces vertically while maintaining an open, airy feel around the central courtyard.
The 'Malenadu Mane' is designed to be one with its environment. Situated on a hill within a coffee plantation, its form is a direct response to the topography and views, creating a seamless relationship between the built structure and the surrounding habitat.
Natural light is a key material for us. In this living area from the 'Jodi Mane' project, a double-height ceiling and large windows create a sense of grandeur and openness, making the space feel bright and connected to the outdoors.
Our commercial work aims to create landmarks. The facade for 'Greenspace' uses a dynamic arrangement of materials and voids to stand out in the cityscape, reflecting a contemporary and forward-thinking identity for the businesses within.
This is our award-winning 'Cha Angadi' project, a modern tea shop designed as a compact, transformable kiosk. The design uses a vibrant color palette and foldable panels, allowing it to open up into a full-fledged shop that is both functional and inviting.
We design spaces for living, not just for shelter. This covered terrace for the 'Wilasa' villa includes a lounge and a home gym, with a lightweight roof structure that allows for ample daylight, creating a perfect space for relaxation and wellness.
We believe in blending modern design with local traditions. This courtyard in 'Jodi Mane' integrates green pockets with vernacular elements like a Tulsi katte and a well, grounding the contemporary home in its cultural context.
About Featured
Many people think a staircase is just a means to get from one floor to the next, but we see it as the anchor of the home. In our Jodi Mane project, we designed a suspended blue metallic stairway that serves as the heart of the house, turning vertical circulation into an interactive space for conversation and connection. This approach to functional elements is how we bring character and purpose into every room we design.
Our architectural practice is built on a simple premise: architecture is not just about the building, but about the spaces in between. Whether we are working on a compact urban home or a weekend retreat in the Western Ghats, we prioritize how the building interacts with its surroundings.
We focus on the 'built vs unbuilt' ratio, ensuring that courtyards, gardens, and light-filled voids are as important as the floor plan itself. This philosophy allows us to create structures that naturally regulate their internal climate. By integrating passive cooling strategies like cross-ventilation and strategic daylighting, we reduce the dependency on mechanical climate control.
Our material palette is equally intentional. We frequently use laterite, rammed earth, and wood to ground our contemporary designs in the local context. This blending of modern minimalism with vernacular sensitivity ensures that every project feels native to its location—from the red earth of Mangaluru to the bustling urban plots of Bengaluru.
Beyond residences, our expertise extends to commercial and retail spaces. We apply the same rigor to these projects, as seen in our award-winning work for Cha Angadi, where modular, transformable elements allow a small kiosk to be highly functional and visually distinct. If you are looking for design that is practical, sustainable, and deeply considered, we are here to help.
