A curated collection of our most meaningful work, where sustainable design meets the raw beauty of the landscape to create quiet, nature-integrated spaces.
This is our Aqua Pool & Spa project in Karnataka, designed to be a modern cave nestled in nature. The fluid, parametric roof crafted from ferrocement creates a seamless connection with the surrounding hills, offering a tranquil space for wellness that balances privacy with expansive views.
The facade of 'The Earth' Experience Centre showcases our focus on sustainable materials. The pleated walls are made from locally sourced Compressed Stabilised Earth Blocks (CSEB), creating a rich texture that plays with light and shadow, while the bamboo-thatched roof adds a layer of natural lightness.
For the Magnolia Residence, a duplex penthouse in Bangalore, we designed an urban oasis. The structure features deep balconies and large windows to merge the indoor living spaces with the outdoors, creating a serene sanctuary that captures city views while maintaining a sense of tranquility.
The interior of the Magari furniture store in Hyderabad was conceived as a multi-level experience. We used raw concrete and suspended fabric panels to define spaces without solid walls, allowing natural light from large windows to illuminate the craftsmanship of the furniture on display.
Inside the Teyla tea cafe in Kerala, we created a large, open volume with an exposed ISMB steel structure and a high, sloping roof. This design maximizes space and light, while the central open kitchen fosters a connection between the chefs and guests, reminiscent of a traditional local 'chaithela'.
A key principle of our work is framing the natural context. At the Aqua Pool & Spa, the sweeping curve of the ferrocement roof acts as a deliberate frame, drawing the eye towards the majestic Nandi Hills and making the landscape an integral part of the architectural experience.
We are deeply honored to be named 'Practice of the Year 2024' at the Trends Excellence Awards. This recognition, pictured here with our design for the Magari showroom, affirms our studio's commitment to pushing the boundaries of design and creating architecture with lasting impact.
We design spaces that create quiet, memorable moments. At the Fireflies Resort in Kabini, a simple polished concrete plinth extends from a glamping tent, offering an uninterrupted view of an ancient banyan tree, inviting guests to pause and connect with nature.
This is a look at our upcoming Cumin Residence in Goa, a design inspired by the simplicity of Japanese architecture. The interior spaces are organized linearly with high, angled ceilings and large windows to create a constant visual connection to the lush, natural surroundings.
'The Earth' Experience Centre is designed to sit lightly on the land. This twilight view shows how the structure, with its illuminated pathways, integrates into the rocky Nandi Hills landscape, becoming a beacon of environmentally conscious design that respects its context.
About Featured
We often prioritize dry-cladding systems, such as mortarless granite stone walls, over traditional cement-heavy techniques. This approach not only respects the raw character of the material but also allows for better structural adaptability, ensuring your building ages gracefully with the landscape rather than against it.
Our design process begins with a conversation between the site and the structure. Whether it is an eco-resort in the hills or an urban penthouse, we look for ways to reduce the built footprint. By using locally sourced materials like Compressed Stabilised Earth Blocks and stone, we minimize transportation costs while ensuring the architecture feels rooted in its specific geography.
We are particularly interested in structural honesty. In projects like the Aqua Pool & Spa in Karnataka, we utilized fluid ferrocement roofs to create cave-like forms that offer privacy while maintaining an open visual connection to the surrounding hills. This parametric approach allows us to push the boundaries of what is possible with traditional materials.
For us, luxury is not about extravagance but the quality of the experience. It is the way light filters through a jali, the breeze moving through an open-plan living area, or the quiet transition from a polished concrete plinth to the wild outdoors. We believe that when we strip away the unnecessary, we find a space that truly breathes. If you are looking for design that prioritizes sustainability, craftsmanship, and a genuine connection to nature, we would be happy to discuss your vision.
