Yoga does not require a perfect studio or a quiet hour. It just requires you showing up. Join our online Mysore-style classes to learn Ashtanga in a way that fits your real life.

This is the heart of my practice: finding stillness and strength, even in the most demanding postures. I believe yoga is a path to connect with your inner potential, and I am here to guide you in discovering that for yourself, no matter your starting point.

A glimpse into my real-life home practice. Life, especially with a little one, is beautifully messy. My practice isn't about perfection; it's about showing up on the mat, even for a short time, and finding that moment of connection amidst the chaos.

Learning at the source in Mysore, India, with my teacher, Paramaguru Sharath Jois. I am a dedicated student of the classical Ashtanga lineage, and I bring the authenticity and depth of this tradition to every class I teach.

This is what our online Mysore-style classes look like. Through Zoom, I can see your practice and give you personalized adjustments and guidance, just as I would in person. We build a strong, supportive community, no matter where you are in the world.

My "Ashtanga Yoga from Scratch" online course is designed to give you the confidence to build a sustainable, independent practice. We cover the fundamentals step-by-step, so you understand not just the what, but the why of every movement and breath.

Ashtanga yoga builds a unique combination of strength, balance, and focus. Poses that once seemed impossible become accessible through consistent, mindful practice. I will show you the techniques to safely build your own strength.

Practicing at the Sharath Yoga Centre during my seventh month of pregnancy. This journey taught me how to adapt the practice to honor my body's changes. It reinforced my belief that yoga is a practice for every stage of life.

Feeling like you don't have the energy or flexibility to start? That's the perfect place to begin. I will help you find your own pace and build a practice that is real, sustainable, and uniquely yours.

About Featured

Most people think they need to clear their schedule or get fit before starting yoga. That is backward. In my online sessions, we work with what you have right now. Whether you are practicing while your baby naps or squeezing in twenty minutes before your workday, the technique is what anchors you. I will show you how to use the Tristhana method—breath, gaze, and posture—so you build a foundation that actually lasts.

Why start Ashtanga online?

Many students fear they are too stiff or unprepared for Ashtanga. The truth is, everyone starts exactly where they are. My online course is designed to remove the intimidation factor by breaking down complex movements into small, manageable steps. We focus on the why behind every movement, not just mimicking shapes.

What you get

This is not a passive video library. We run live Mysore-style classes via Zoom where I can see your practice and offer real-time adjustments. You get:

  • Live Guidance: 20 daily sessions where we focus on your specific alignment.
  • Technical Library: Lifetime access to over 30 videos breaking down safety, anatomy, and modifications.
  • Community Support: A Telegram group for Q&A, homework reviews, and connecting with other practitioners who are also balancing work and life.

Your practice, your rules

I believe in Domashnya praktyka yak vona ye (home practice as it is). This means we integrate yoga into your existing routine, not the other way around. Whether you are a total beginner or a yogi returning after a break, we help you establish a habit that survives the chaos of daily life. We cover the foundational sequences, including Sun Salutations and standing postures, ensuring you develop the confidence to practice independently when the course concludes.

I'm Tanya. I used to chase perfection until motherhood taught me that the best practice is the one that actually happens. Now, I help others build an Ashtanga practice from home, regardless of how chaotic life feels.
